This is not the church that is shown in the game of thrones for the shame shame scene but another scene, You have to walk up alleys to reach here. Coming across a lot of tourist places with food and knick-knacks. It is a must do for GOT fans...

We took a day trip from Barcelona to Girona. It was a 37 minute train ride. We grabbed a cab at the train station and the driver took us to the steps of the Cathedral . It would have been a steep uphill walk. Well worth the 10 Euros. The Cathedral is $7.00 Euros to visit and very interesting. After the cathedral we walked one block to the old Medieval walls that remain and walked around on them. Great views. We wandered the Jewish Quarter and had a nice lunch before walking back to the train station.

After a big lunch, the hike to this area was very much welcoming. Being it was a Saturday, the place was loaded with people with selfie sticks.

The cathedral is impressively wide and spacious but still very crowded. The cathedral has been declared one of the seven miracles of Catalunya..

The tapestry of creation is one of its beatiful treasures.

Definetely worth to visit

It's a main attraction, but honestly didn't think it was that interesting. We opted for the headsets and while it gave information I didn't leave with an overwhelming feeling about the history. I would say you could skip it unless you're truly interested.
