well located hotel that 8 of us used for 3 days in conjunction with Bike Breaks at the gironacycle centre- hotel was spotless and very close to the Old Town. Breakfast was great and our bikes were parked just opposite the hotel in their secure car park. But , most importantly- their staff were so friendly and informative- especially the reception staff who gave us great reataurant recommendations and were always patient and cheerful- many thanks from the Irish cyclists- we will definitly use the hotel again and will recommend it to our friends

Room Tip: ask for room with cotton sheets as sadly they also use nylon sheets- the only negative thing about t...

I was very surprised by some very negative reviews here about this hotel, that I even checked once more to see if I'm on the right place.
It seems like they have different kind of rooms which differ a lot in quality.

We stayed one night in double room , and it was pretty big (pleasant surprise for us since we expected very small rooms), the bathroom was also big, everything was very clean. The beds were comfortable (and we have serious spine problems, so we are not satisfied with bed quality very often, but here, no problem at all). The rooms had free wi-fi, and even in the lobby there were 2 computers with USB hub, but we didn't use it, wi-fi was enough for us.

The staff on the reception was very kind and helpful. My light bulb went dead at 11 p.m. I went to the reception and got the spare one immediately.

The location is great, 2 minutes from the city center.

Some people were complaining that it was hard to find the hotel, we didn't have any problem locating it, it is 10 minutes walk from the train/bus station. The only problem is that the roads in Girona are all cobblestone , so it is not easy to roll the suitcases (especially when they are over 20kg, like ours), but we solved that problem on our return by calling a cab (7 eur from the hotel to the station, 2 suitcases included).

Ok, the room view was to some small inner backyard and you could be seen from other rooms, but for one night stay it was ok. And yes, during the night you could hear loud neighbours, but that didn't bother us a lot.

As a bottom line, I think this is very good value for money hotel and I recommend it.

Excellent location near the old city. We only stayed for one night (our flight from Girona airport was early in the morning). Our room (#207) was in the front of the building and it was OK. The size of the room and bathroom was larger than many other hotels I've stayed. Reception people were very helpful.

Stayed here last weekend. For the rate (€64 per double room per night) and the room assigned it was very good value.Average size spotlessly clean room, good firm bed,tv with all Spanish channels. The bathroom was very clean, excellent power shower, good big mirror above the sink.
Check in and out was swift and painless.Five minute walk across the river into the old town.Taxi from airport was €35 for seven of us.

If you find this hotel with no wrong turns from the bus or train station on your first try you deserve a free nights stay. Save yourself frustration unless your up for a Where's Waldo experience and take a cab unless you have a map. That said once you find the hotel it is in an excellent location and if its not considered to be in the Old Town than it borders it. And really only a 10 minute walk to the bus or train station by a diorect route. But even if you get turned around Girona is gorgeous to walk around and deserves more tourism than it recieves.

The receptionist was fantatstic. He provided us with a much needed map and answered all our questions. He also provided us with a free bottle of much needed water after all the markets were closed and for that we are forever greatful. Be aware that most markets and restaurants seem to have very early closing hours for Spain. The receptionist informed us most places close by 8pm.

The room was adequate and clean. Like other reviewers state the beds are not the most comfortable, and the linens are nothing special, but it beats a bus from Barcelona at 3am to catch an early flight. Our only compliant about the hotel was the random noise from outside throughout the night, like someone banging on pipes.

Attractive lobby and that's where it ends. Mattresses that were so thin and lumpy and guaranteed a back ache. Windows opening to airshaft with no air movement. Noisy neighbors with TV on all night. A dreadful night with little sleep and couldn't wait to leave. To be avoided at all cost

Still living through one night in the peninsular. Add a non- working air conditioner to my previous review. I'd ask for a refund but anyone cheap enough to use the toilet paper they use here wouldn't be someone you'd want to deal with. This is a One Star hotel and if you want to know what that means, there is no such thing as a no-star hotel.
