“Drinks and snacks”
Reviewed April 1, 2014

We frequented this place every night for a few drinks before dinner as we loved the authentic atmosphere and good priced drinks. The place is in the old town and has a great feel to it with tiled floors and lovely views of the river if you are lucky enough to find a window seat as every night it was jam packed. Despite the staff being rushed off their feet they were always very pleasant and helpful. We had a few snacks with our drinks such as olives or tomato and manchego cheese on bread..very tasty...the rest of the menu particularly the sandwiches looked very good. For a really authentic experience with a vibrant atmosphere and quirky twist this place is a must visit.

“Good atmosphere and great value”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

La Terra couldn't be located better, directly next to the river, providing you with one of the best views Girona has to offer. There's plenty of tables next to the large windows, so you can enjoy this view to the fullest. There's a small-town, charming atmosphere, with lots of wood and ceramics, and it really has the feel of a local artists' cafe. When we were there, people were reading, playing board games etc.

The menu wasn't extensive, and only in Catalan, but the juices and tapas we ordered were delicious, and at a very reasonable price. This place offers the best value for money we've come across so far in bigger cities in Catalunya. We weren't super hungry, so we'll definitly come back to try the burgers, which are apparently their specialty and completely locally sourced.

“very good place”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

Very smiling and friendly owner. The menu is not too long, it's very good! Developed theme burgers, but they are delicious, and there is an alternative - great salads, quiche Lorraine, amazing coffee. Do not have to wait long.

“Great place for lunch”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

We were only in girona for a day and found this lovely little place whilst wandering around the old town.

I'm not a burger fan but this was good. My hubby said the best he'd had.

Very charming, lovely decor and great fresh juices.

“Horrible service!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Funky restaurant/bar overlooking the Onyar river. The decoration consists of an eclectic collection of floor tiles and numerous wall tiles as well . The service totally spoiled our experience: first we had to ask for menus in Spanish or English – they were brought to us in Catalan! (I observed this happening to other tables as well). Then upon bringing my bottled beer, I had to ask twice for a glass, later we asked for an additional bottle of water to never receive it. The meal in itself was ok but we never ate together: first arrived the kids’ cheese and ham platters, which were served with tomato bread, then when they were about done eating, my husband’s tuna salad arrived and then long afterwards my fruit salad with fish. The menu says the fruit salad is served with salmon but from what we could understand when ordering, the type of fish changes regularly. Mine arrived with smoked anchovies, which I cannot eat. This being said, the fresh fruit served with lettuce and a mango dressing was yummy but I had to eat it by myself! I didn’t come here with my family for us not to eat together! You do not want to experience this establishment’s lack of attentiveness and poor service.
