“Good Tapas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013

Found this little locals tapas bar by accident next to a municipal market just off The Ramblas in Barcelona. Good food and drink. Standard prices but very friendly and probably much cheaper than eating on The Ramblas. Would definitely go back.

“Very Local and Very Delicious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

My husband and I were looking for a good restaurant at La Boqueria but nothing inside the famous market appealed to us - especially the price. I always go with Rick Steve's recommendation to find a restaurant not within the touristy area but a little off the beaten track - and with only the local language written in chalk on the bulletin board. Papitu is of of these gems outside the La Boqueria market. it is just to the right of the market - several steps outside. We ordered the bread with crushed tomatoes and olive oil, Lentil salad, the Mariscos Paella and the deep fried squash flowers and we had one of the most authentic Catalan dinner in Spain. The servers were very helpful, fast and efficient. There is inside and outside sitting.

“A pleasant surprise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

Too hot inside the Food Halls, right next to them we found Papitu where we got excellent tapas! Not overly exclusive surroundings, still the food convinced us to go back one more time.

“Spanish quiete atmosphere with quallity”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

A very pleasant surprise next to the Boqueria market. This restaurant, authentically Spanish, with spirit and courtesy.
The restaurant is located in a nice place where it is easy to see the coming of pedestrians going quietly. From the terrace, you will hear good flamenco music and sometimes live music.
The waiters are friendly, fast and helpful, especially the twin sisters with his charm and mystery ...
The atmosphere is family like we're at home.
tapas and dishes are varied to suit all tastes, with meat, fish, vegetables. All these dishes the cook made at the time, so fresh and freshly made.
The situation is in the center ed Barcelona, next to the famous Ramblas of flowers, in a quiet square, with a few recipes made with care and tranquility. The meals are cooked to the point.
