The place a sweet and smells like a convent. We tried various teas and a fig cake and they were all good. We bought a box of boxed delicatessen and when we opened I t home it was rotten.

Sometimes when you visit a place and have fond memories and return years later, you realize you should have left fond memories stay as you are disappointed by the return experience. Not so at Caelum. It just never disappoints.
A small cake and coffee shop tucked away in the old Gothic Quarter this is pure heaven (as the name states in Latin).
Many of the products here are made by monks or nuns in convents or monasteries. The desserts are phenomenal. The space is tight and there is often a wait for a table, but it's well worth it.
Stop by for a coffee and a slice of cake from heaven. This is an amazing place that just keeps slicing up fond memories.

Great coffee and delicious cakes. All made by nuns. Peaceful location. Polite service. Entrance not obvious. One door is sealed so you have to go round the other side of the building and enter through the shop. Thoroughly Recommended.

I love this place. The pastries are the best I have ever tasted. I had a chocolate covered cake with a rose petal on top. Was chocolatey but with a hint of rose flavour. Was so good!
