We stopped here later on in the evening for some dessert of pastries and tea. They also have alcoholic beverages, but we needed a break! This place has a really cool story behind it, and the atmosphere and attached shop is very cool and quaint. The service is good and the selection of bakery is really unique and all tasty. We didn't know exactly what everything was, but that made it fun! If you want to sample some bakery while in Barcelona, I highly recommend stopping here.

We were told the food here is made by nuns. It's all authentic and beautiful. I can't vouch for the taste because we bought it as a gift!

We hunted for this place after getting a mission from friends. Well worth the hunt across the street from the rubber duckie store. Next to the Gothic cathedral. We tried six things and all were delicious. Especially the cup of chocolate. It's an actual bittersweet chocolate that is excellent. You eat it with a spoon. Unexpected. Our favorite was lemon cream cake and almond butter cake. Honestly just let your eyes help you decide.

The cake in the window looks very promising. Only a small number of tables on street level but more seating available in the basement. Liked the atmosphere upstairs. Really nice cake. 5.20 per piece fairly expensive though but did not regret it at all.
Service was very friendly. Right in the centre of the old part of town.

Don't be fooled by the delicious looking tartes and cakes- their taste is very average, but not the price! 5,10 € for a small piece of cake- hell, I go often to patisseries and cafes and I'm truly ready to pay for taste and quality, but the caelum only benefits from its image " cakes made by the nuns" (I doubt that, btw) and a well arranged interior/ decoration. The woman behind the counter of the shop is unmotivated, unfriendly - grumpy in one word. Won't recommend this place to anyone. Better get a waffle or ice-cream somewhere else for dessert.
