“Nice food, comfortable”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

Lovely little place. I came here a few times while I lived in Barcelona. My girlfriend and I came here and really enjoyed it. The tapas here is lovely with a wide selection. I also came here with my parents who came out to visit me and they very much enjoyed it. Very comfortable and great service, can speak English, Spanish and Catalan. Also not to expensive which as a student can mean a lot.

“Atmospheric, funky, bar/restaurant”
Reviewed September 26, 2013 via mobile

Tucked away off of the square abutting Santa Maria del Mar - this bar / restaurant looks instantly inviting from the street. Intimately lit, vaulted ceilings provide a chilled out ambience for food and drink.

Served up decent mojitos and the house red was decent value.

Both our starters were generous portions, and god quality food. For mains the fillet steak was overdone despite asking for a medium-rare. Shoulder of mountain lamb was very well seasoned, lovely crisp skin - but unfortunately ever so slightly overlooked. The accompanying potatoes and gratin were delicious!

Generally, a friendly and welcoming place - staff were helpful and polite.

“best dinner in Barcelona”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

If you want to travel Barcelona like a local, if you want to have great tapas and great coctails, you should go to this restaurant. Decoration and architecture of the La Luna is very interesting and romantic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great patatas bravas, great tacos.

“Favourite place to go”
Reviewed August 15, 2013 via mobile

You have to go here for food and drink its like your eating in an under ground cellar , the food is amazing and so cheap and so is the drink . The staff are friendly . We came here on first night so gutted we couldn't make it back there as there was more places to try. But do go here for an interesting dinning experience

“Much more than a bar: Good food in an interesting setting”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We’ve been back to La Luna several times over the past years, and each time we’ve had a most enjoyable dining experience—and at a reasonable price. Located in a tiny side street just off the square in front of the Cathedral del Mar, the restaurant’s exterior could not be more unimposing, but inside, the high arching brickwork and ceiling vaults make for a most attractive and interesting décor.

Not to be missed, in my view, is the shoulder of mountain lamb in a chestnut sauce. If you like meat (even if not particularly fond of lamb), I think you’re almost certain to love tucking into this succulent and tender entrée, chunk after juicy chunk practically falling off the bone. My wife had the sirloin filet (with a mushroom sauce and potato au gratin), which was she says was just right and tasted wonderful. Together with a nice Catalunya wine at about 13 euro (bottle), the whole thing, for two, came to about 55 euro.
