Barcelona was our last spot before returning home after two and a half week vacation throughout Spain. We had eaten more than our share of tapas, bodillas, and the wonderful (but, sometimes monotonus) typical Spanish food. Plus, it was a Sunday night and so many good restaurants are closed.
We were walking after a lame bus tour (actually because the bus left us!) and came upon this gem. After a few mixed reviews here, we decided to try it anyway.
What a wonderful choice! On Thursdays and Sundays the entire restaurant is lit with hundreds of small votives, making the rooms very romantic and soothing. Ask for a table on the bottom (of three) floors. Very private and very beautiful.
The food was really, really good. Quite creative and infused with delicious, hard to immediately pinpoint spices. Just delicious and fun at the same time.
Service was gracious and well-paced.
And pricing was very reasonable for the quality of service, food and decor.
Dining here made our last night very special.
