We had a wonderful meal at Pla during our recent stay in Barcelona. Family of 4 with 2 tween daughters. We were worried going in that nothing on the menu would appeal to middle school tastes, but we were wrong.
The waitress actually came over and sat down on a stool next to our table like an old friend. There were tons of great selections, but we wound up with Duck, Grilled Smoked Salmon, Steak with Mustard Sauce, and a Lamb Shank. All were delicious, but the Grilled Smoked Salmon won by a landslide.
The ambience is lovely and it is tucked away down a quiet side street in the gothic quarter.
Service is efficient, but not necessarily the most enthusiastic or friendly. Food here is slightly more expensive than elsewhere, but we thought it was worth it.
Everything on the menu is gluten free and they also provide gluten free bread for those that ask. They also adapted the amuse bouche (creamy onion soup with croutons) for our celiac daughter (no croutons!!). She loved it!
