I stayed in in August 2012 for 6 nights with 3 girls sharing. I would say it is quite hard to find however if you go into the Plaza Real Square (with the fountain) from Las Ramblas side you just turn right and its situated in a little alley on the right hand side. The alley name is sign posted and its no6 with Graffiti on the big black heavy doors. You need to ring the number for entry code (on your booking confirmation) and inside the door you open a little safe (the lady on phone gives you code for safe) which will have your room key inside. Be sure to check how many keys you have as there are 2 doors to open on your floor. The apartments are small with 1 double bed and sofa bed (we didnt use sofa bed as looked a bit shabby and uncomfortable) However the beds were very very comfy for 3 girls sharing! The bathroom was sufficient however shower was very small but it did the job. The kitcen had pretty much everything cooker, fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, even european electric plugs, kettle, toaster etc etc. 3 mini balconies and 1 wardrobe. The alley can be ever so slightly noisy but was never too bad. Never heard any neighbouring apartments making noise. There is a small roof terrace but the door was locked so a little disappointing we couldnt get access as it would've been lovely to take a coffee up there in the morning. The communal stairs/lift are quite old and steep so if you're very drunk take care! The location was amazing the plaza real square always vibrant with lovely restaurants/bars surrounding. Las Ramblas reminded me of busy of London, and if you turn left into Las Ramblas (from plaza real) and left again you're about 15 min walk from the beach. Overall was a lovely holiday and if you're not going to stay at your apartment much and doing alot of sight seeing then I would definitely recommended FGA.
