Description: In September 1998 Thai Gardens Barcelona opens its doors for the first time. At the time the city lacked thai cuisine restaurants. Opening our doors to the public every single day throughout these past sixteen years, we have seen how the offer of Asian cuisine was growing in Barcelona and how, at the same time, our role as Royal Thai Cuisine ambassadors was being consolidated. Our restaurant is the result of the efforts of a great team that day after day transform any meal in a pleasant moment in the ancient kingdom of Siam.

“Average Thai food in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

The interior of the restaurant is huge and very beautiful. There are different levels with either western style tables or lower set tables with cushions on the floor. There is a lot of wood and plants. We had starters and main courses. The presentation of the food was fine with some carved carrots. It was the food itself which was a bit of a let down. It just felt a bit greasy and lacked flavour. The service was efficient without being friendly. Overall it was an average experience eventhough the interior is stunning.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

Whenever we travel abroad we always find a Thai Restaurant. The quality of food varies and some reviews in the past have let us down. Not this time. The restaurant was impressive from the moment we turned up. The decor was traditional Thai , the staff were Thai and the food was excellent. Previous reviews said the service was poor. Not this time. The service was excellent and everyone who served us made the visit feel special. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Authentic Thai food in a traditional Thai setting.

“OK restaurant”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

The food was average. I have been to better Thai restaurants before. it wasn't "awesome" or "spectacular". The decor and ambience was amazing. The service was not that good. The waiter and waitress were not very friendly and seemed irritated. Don't come here if you want amazing and authentic Thai food. Not sure if I would come back

“Total Rip Off”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

I just went for lunch here persuaded by a friend who had eaten here several years ago. I decided not to try the "menu del día" and instead try their Thom Yam soup and Duck in red curry . Both were awful ! Soup was reheated and empty of fresh ingredients. Curried duck was disgusting. Seemed like microwaved pieces of duck in a bland industrial sauce with some canned pineapple and grapes thrown in . The soup was smaller than a coffee cup and they charged over €8 ! The curry was revolting and they charged over €16 ! When i questioned the bill over an item that i didn't recognize for €4.50 i was informed that it was the small bowl of white rice that accompanied my curry. Total Rip Off . ! The service was slow and the staff were misrable and refused to make eye contact . Terrible experience ..don't go !

“Regular food and very good service”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

If you are expecting awesome food, this is not your place. The food is regular, nothing special. It's thai but adaptet to a local taste so don't expect anything spicy or with a very strong flavour. I asked for a "more than normal spicy" dish and the curry I got was spicyish.

The best thing about tje place is it's ambience. Deorations are really nice and the place is huge! Fortunatelly the tables are distributed in various levels so you don't feel overwelmed by the amount of people dining there. Also the service is over the average for Barcelona. They are all nice, respect wishes (we asked for one dish without cilantro) and quite fast.

To sum up. It's a little bit pricey for the qualito of food you get, but in my opinion it's worth a try. I really liked the interior.
