This restaurant is located near las Ramblas. My girlfriend and I read the excellent reviews so we thought to give it a go.
As a appetizer we got olives and pickles of some questionable quality. We both ordered a pizza (Alpina) with ham, mushrooms and gorgonzola. The mushrooms were not fresh. It were canned mushrooms and had no taste at all. The ham was nothing special and the gorgonzola was nowhere to be found.
My girlfriend and I both got sick after eating at this place. We would highly recommend to eat at an other place!

Thank Arnaud S

Dear costumer,

We feel soo sorry ..
Your critic its correctly , the pizza Alpina dont have mushrooms and york ham ,actually have setas (porcini) and speck(smoked ham), and small touch off gorgonzola ,and is true on our menu we whrite mushrooms and its whrong, because it’s a noter kind of funghi.
Probally you should like more the pizza prosciutto and funghi.
Whats we more worry, its about you commentary of you and you girlfriend surprisely feeling sick after your dinner .
We have cheked immediately whit regular clients ho haven taking pizzas on the same night , and they told us all was perfectly and don’t have any problems.
Apparent we make some error and this make you feel very mad.
We going looking for this causes , and than don’t going to repeat again .
Greetings and thanks you very much.
Mirco Merotto

This cosy restaurant is literally 2 minutes off Las Ramblas and is so much better than the offerings on the main drag.
The duck maigret with raspberry coulis was delicious (it is billed as an Italian restaurant but has other dishes on the menu beside pasta and pizza)
Really friendly attentive staff - the only slight let down was on close inspection of the bill we had been charged for the bread and olives which had appeared at the beginning of the meal and which we had assumed were "included" having not ordered them. That said the second grappa on the house with the coffee was a nice touch.
The house wine is more than acceptable.
It was quite quiet when we went but there were a number of locals there which is always a good sign. Recommended

This charming restaurant was a wonderful find. After being in Barcelona a few nights and getting bored of tapas we thought we would give it a try after seeing the fantastic reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The ambient and romantic setting was the first thing we noticed when we stepped in, seconded by the fact that there were locals eating there which we took to be a great sign. The bread came out warm, the food was absolutely delicious and the waiters were attentive and very friendly. Not to mention the wine they recommended - an Italian sauvignon blanc was smooth, light and far too easy to drink :)
My boyfriend had the veal to start and I the caprese salad to start both of which were flavourful and generous in size and for main he had a pizza with rocket, Parma ham and fresh mozzarella, and I had the fresh pasta field with burrata and flavored with fresh tomatoes and Parmesan- again both were absolutely superb and we would definitely recommend it to anybody as the selection across the menu is varied and should suit most tastes. We also loved the shot (or two) of homemade limoncello we were given after the meal. It was like everything else delicious and really reminded me of being back in Italy! You must go while in Barcelona!!

I came here for my birthday meal and was back for seconds the next day! This restaurant is one of the best that I have eaten at. The ambience in this place is amazing and the food is 5 star quality, we chose the pasta dishes however the pizza on the table next to us looked tempting also! The service is great, they are all so friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning here on my next visit to Barcelona!

We found this restaurant by accident. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived at 8.30 pm on a Sat evening, but by we left the restaurant was packed with locals. Pasta puttanesca and home made pasta filled with mozzarella were one of the best pasta dishes we have ever had in a restaurant. Very nice service as well!
