“NIce and very tasty food but ....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2012

Had dinner here. Restaurant accepted us on a saturday night without reservation at 7pm of which we are grateful perhaps because we are a bunch of hungry chinese tourist.

Ordered a beef, fish, brocholi, wan ton soup, plain rice and it comes up to around 80 euro.

Strictly speaking the cooking is not authentic and nothing classic in the mix of ingredient and cooking. The chef has mix some western ingredient within but in a very innovative and tasty way. The chef is good !

We like the wan ton soup which is of high quality standard.

The brocoli mix with japanese musroom is a real treat, its very good, nearly ordered another portion.

Didnt like the beef and musroom - too western.

Can see why this restaurant is popular even though they did not follow strictly the mix of ingredient and the way chinese food is been cooked but the chef has done a very good job.

Will come back again whenever I am in Barcelona.

“Well worth a visit ...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

A well-known trendy and high quality chinese restaurant in Barcelona - actually run by folks from Shanghai, which is great.

The food is generally light, fresh and of high quality. The menu has a small number good dishes rather than a long list of rubbish.

This is not fusion, modernist nonsense but classic, spot-on high quality chinese cuisine, done with finesse and delicacy.

The restaurant has a, let's say, a "trendy, upmarket cafeteria" fee - it's not unlike going to a Wagamama, let's say. Very relaxed, no problem with children. The front entrance is great with a "warrior statue" and so on.

If you're from somewhere that everyone eats at 12:00:00, don't forget it does not even open until about 1pm! A great tip is that on Sundays lunch you can simply park right out the front easily, there are no cars around on Sundays.

The price is perfectly fair for the quality, if you ordered many many dishes it could seem a bit expensive. Very easy to find and in the best and most convenient area. Enjoy!

“Cool and relaxing spot in Barcelona”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2011

There are hundreds of Chinese restaurants in town. Do not trust most of them; they serve cheap food at cheap prices... Out of China has a good selection of dishes in a cool atmosphere. Food quality is great and prices are reasonable. One of the best oriental food places in Barcelona.

“very cool xino”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2009

Very nice modern decor, red black and whiteinterior. Food very tasty, excellent variation of chineese ingredients, with hint of "aromes of conteporani". Very well presented dishes, great service and good value. Tip: call in advance for nice table, must try very tasty desserts... Menu de degustation also available 18eur.
