“Couldn't ask for better customer service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2012

The value of the Provença apartment for €90/night in Eixample neighborhood of downtown Barcelona was unbeatable. Safe location, clean facilities (bed and kitchen) elevator, clothes washer, wi-fi (slow but you're not going to want to sit home and go on Facebook all day) was all we needed to have a fantastic 4 night stay in Barcelona. We had arranged to have concert tickets to be delivered to Kiku because we didn't have enough time to have them shipped to our US address, so Kiku had gone COMPLETELY out of his way to make sure we had them in time for our concert. That was the most ABOVE & BEYOND customer service I had ever experienced in my life. He even invited us for breakfast and gave us a lot of info about touring Sagrada Familia, metro system, restaurant recommendations, etc. That, alone, is the reason why I wouldn't consider any other location in Barcelona other than Barcelona B&B. Hands down, best location ever! Thanks a ton Kiku!

We stayed in the Provenca apartment and couldn't have found a better spot. Kiku was here to greet us and answer our many questions. This apartment is a bit away from the b&b so we have it to ourselves. Great little kitchen and washing machine to catch up on some laundry. Wifi worked perfectly and there is a grocery store beneath the apartment (apartment is on 4th floor with an elevator). Metro is a few blocks away.

We stayed at this location in August and September 2012. Our hosts, Kiku and John (and Nieves) were the perfect hosts. They respected our privacy and were there anytime we needed advice, recommendations or restaurant reservations. The lovely home suited us very well. It's very well maintained and clean, the location (close to multiple metro stations and great neighborhoods) has to be the best place to stay in all of Barcelona, and the breakfasts were a delightful time to mingle with the other guests and learn travel tips and more. We will be returning to Barcelona and we will be staying at this location. We wouldn't consider any other place!

Also, a few notes. There are great restaurants in close proximity (De Tapas Madre, Zafra, and more), and there are delicious bakeries just down a few blocks on Girona. Explore Gracia, a great local neighborhood with minimal tourists. Also inquire about visiting the Montjuic cemetery or the Parc de Laberinth - both free of tourists and true gems of this outstanding city. Personally, I could do without the Ramblas altogether. Barcelona has much more to offer.

Room Tip: We stay in the small interior room. Extremely quiet and dark, but not very big - just my style.

Very nicely decorated B&B in a nice section of town, convenient to all the sights either by the Metro or walking. Proprietor Kiku goes above and beyond to be helpful and share insights about the city and Catalonia. Breakfast is well-prepared and served in a pleasant setting. The only difficulty was getting hot water in the shower.

So generous of Kiku and John to share their stylish and delightful residence, including their comfortable lounge, with guests! The rooms are spacious and unexpectedly quiet (considering the lovely old building is on a fairly busy street). Great location for any attraction in Barcelona! Great spread for breakfast. All welcoming and friendly. The best, by all means!

We stayed at this location in June 2012 - we were traveling with our two teenage children. This location was perfect we were able to share a bathroom between our 2 rooms. Kiku is a wonderful host and totally knowledgeable about the area - and breakfast was very good. The metro was very close and very easy to follow. Several places to eat within walking distance. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Barcelona and we hope to be back in the near future.

Room Tip: Make sure you follow the directions (w/ cross streets) so that you can find the B&B it is very p...

We stayed a total of 6 nights with Dona Margarita at her beautiful B & B in Barcelona, Spain in August/September of 2012. Our stay there was terriffic and we would return again on another trip for sure. She is a wonderful hostess and offered up the best B & B breakfast of our whole 3 week trip. Her B & B is embedded in her own (very large) apartment which is loaded with beautiful antiques and art that she has collected over the years giving the stay a very homey feel. She provided us with lots of information about places to eat and see while there. The B & B is very nicely located on a quiet residental apartment building street near the Valcarca metro station. Once you exit the station it is a short walk up the street to her home. We purchased a 5 day metro ticket at the airport upon arrival-took the 46 bus from the airport to Plaza Espana , entered the metro and took L3 to Vallcarca exit and were at her place in a total of 45 minutes-1 hour. It was very easy and the price was right. Our room was very comfortable.Upon leaving Barcelona she arranged a taxi for us to go to the airport. We felt totally at home and would return.

Room Tip: Our room was in the back near the computer room. It is sort of away from the other rooms and a bit q...
