“Horrible Christmas Dinner”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

My family came here on Christmas based on the recommendation of a friend and the hotel where we were staying. We shared a paella dish that was very disappointing. Several hours later every member of our party got sick! Worse experience ever!

“Lovely sea bass baked in rock salt”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

Maybe it was the blue skies and warm winter sunshine that made our lunch so nice today. They were happy to accommodate our 5 year old's request for palates frites with here croquetas. We had a huge sea bass for 2 baked in rock salt with mixed grilled vegetables, and it was prepared beautifully, tasting even better. The style of this place stands out from other Barceloneta tourist traps with pink table cloths, friendly staff - and they don't have to stand out the front of their restaurant touting for business.

“My favourite place to eat paella and arroz caldoso”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

In between tourist traps in Barceloneta is this place with great food.
They have a paella D.O.C. Which is numbered, but also great rice with lobster...

“Excellent fish reataurant”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

If you like fish and shellfish dishes don´t miss this restaurant! We had an extremely good mixed grill of fish, shellfish and crayfish. Next day we tried their black paella full with delicacies from the see (and some rice).

“Excellent seafood restaurant in La Barceloneta, close to the beach”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

We had a great Sunday lunch at this seafood restaurant near the beach in La Barceloneta. We were hosted by family members who are Barcelona natives and knew the chef, so we had a chef's selection of dishes with an excellent Catalan red wine -- Abadal 3.9 2007 Pla de Bages that our Catalan host selected. We had what seemed like an endless stream of dishes including fried fish, prawns, squid, and two types of rice dishes -- "arroz negro" (rice cooked in squid ink) and a seafood paella. The paella and arroz negro were excellent and everyone liked them. We ended with some traditional sweets and dessert drinks. All in all, it was an excellent and very l-o-n-g lunch, just the way it's meant to be in Barcelona on a sunny October Sunday.

You can take metro to metro to Barceloneta station and walk down Passeig De Joan De Borbó to thew restaurant on your right. After lunch or dinner, take a stroll along the beach towards the magnificent W hotel.
