“Some of the best bites in Spain..”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

We struggled a little in finding this place, and ordering, but those frustrated feelings dissappeared with once we tasted the food...The salmon with truffle honey and yogurt was arguably the single best bite we had in Spain. This place is extremely unique and everything on the menu is spectactular!

“Gourmet heaven ”
Reviewed December 20, 2012 via mobile

Having visited Quimet & Quimet last time we were in Barcelona we made a beeline to go back.

Yes it's a little of the tourist track but if you are like us great food and drink is the real tourist track.

Simple quality ingredients imaginatively matched means you get top notch tapas.

Prawns with piquante pepper and caviar drizzled with a balsamic and olive oil x 3.

Mussels with tomato and caviar and another imaginative dressing x 2.

Anchovy and a French soft cheese like an earthy brie matched with a delightful chutney was so good it almost made me cry lol x 1.

Together with 2 glasses of a very good house the total bill came to 20 euros.

Track it down I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

“Awesome Tapas”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

In this tiny place I have enjoyed the best tapas in Barcelona. Try to be there early as from around 01.30 pm it gets really crowded. The staff is very friendly and will recommend the specials for this day. No menu in english, but you can see everything at the counter - mouthwatering.
Very "pure" food of very high quality, not "fashionable" tapas which look good but do not taste!

“Words Cannot Express...”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This food is a religious experience. You'll be making noises that embarrass you. Try everything! Ask for sample plates! You'll be astonished at how inexpensive your bill is. My friend and I stuffed our faces for the better part of two hours, and our bill was 30 Euro. The hours are at the discretion of the owners, usually from about 15:00 to 22:00 Monday through Friday. The hotel next door usually knows if there is a change in this and can tell you when to come back if they're closed. Can't wait to come back!

“Pop in and out”
Reviewed November 28, 2012

Its a great place, but cramped and there is hardly anywhere to sit. If you don't want that kind of restaurant, go elsewhere. They are shut on Saturday night and Sunday, so go during the week, after visiting somewhere along that route. The menu is not in English, but if you ask any of the waiters what they recommend, it is delicious anyway. Don't be put off by the tinned "preserved" seafood... it is typical to eat that in Barcelona and very good quality.
