“Wonderful Classic”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Everything that is traditional does not have to be reviewed as passe or out of synch with the times! For those who love old world charm and elegance, superb dining can include this wonderful neighborhood restaurant in Eixample. Great foie gras - seared or au torchon, magnificently prepared meats and fish with nice vegetable arrays. Warm service and moderate pricing. We know that Michelin doesn't agree with us - so much better for securing a table without a hassle.

Reviewed October 21, 2012

Time and crisis, we will not deny it, play tricks, and that happens to Jaume Provença restaurant which he had boasted a Michelin star, back in the late 80s and 90s, is now lacking a change.
It was Saturday night, and raining, but served only two tables, ours (4 people) and one (2 people). We entered at 21.30 and left at 23.10. Poor result.
But the explanation to so few customers, came later.
The place, charming, clean and well decorated.
The service, professional, friendly and attentive.
The food, seasonal menu - to 51 € per person-was the explanation. From crab delight to the biscuit glacé, through the hills of cod, everything was exquisite. And then, where is the problem? For in the rations, which seemed a menu and tasting - with 7 or 8 dishes - but reduced to 3 courses. It is not eating much, but enough, and the 4 came out with a clear lack of more quantity. There are already similar priced restaurants that serve similar style these rations tasting menus, where the variety and greater number of dishes, retouch that amount of food from each dish. But in a full menu of 3 courses, these amounts are insignificant and, with the price next, especially
