We dropped in here as our preferred restaurant was closed (Monday) it started out well, ordered 2 glasses of cava while we perused the menu - all very good so far . Ordered a selection of tapas including a platter of seafood - we were horrified to discover that this contained ham croquettes ! My good friend and guest is Muslim , I don't need to explain . We let this go and tried the battered prawns, they were peeled, coated in a beautiful savoury batter but were not de- veined ! - for those of you who do not eat prawns, this is the black, waste disposal line that can easily be removed, but if not can leave a disgusting taste .
We pointed this out to the waitress who seemed dis-interested but said she would tell the chef !!
On finishing our meal, I asked for the bill, paid cash, did not leave a tip as service was not good, asked for a receipt and iiran into the brick wall that was the manageress ! She refused to issue receipt, said the bill would have to do me- I asked my fellow diners if anyone knew the word for receipt and they told me that I could only get a receipt if I paid by card !!
Awful experience - just don't go here, there are so many good restaurants in Barcelona it would be a shame to have our visit clouded by this place.
Thankfully our night was rescued by the lovely guys in the local Alimintari on the left as we made our way back to the excellent Hotel Universal Barcelona.

I liked the place cause it was quite but i went quite late to have dinner so i can not be sure how is it in a normal time for dinner. The staff was very helpful, polite and quick. My paella was really really tasteful but also the starters we took. I could go easily back again to that place. Was not that cheap but for once in a while and to check once more i think it worths it.

The fried squid fish had only salt taste. I guess it was made that salty because the ingredient was not fresh. I also ordered a meat dish, the content didn't match the price. Even worse experience I had there was during payment. The bill was 29.5, which had already made me unhappy considering the Soso food I had for the lunch, then I put one 20, two 10euro bills hoping to get some changes back in order to give the tips. However, After my cash had been taken, I waited there for almost 10 minutes. And they hadn't bring my changes back. Then I asked about it, the lady who took my cash and who appeared to be the owner of the restaurant looked quite weird. She the additional 10euro cash back and spoke to me loudly that it's ok that I don't want to tip and blabla. She said she thought the additional 10 euros were the tips. My god, with that kind of service and food of bad quality, how could they assume themselves that I would tip 10 euros. From my experience, I highly recommend traveller's to avoid this restaurant. Otherwise would feel regretted tooo

been there with a colleague following a suggestion

immediately we found the atmosphere was mainly for a romantic dinner and not for just a dinner with a friend of colleague, but we're highly impressed from the menu and especially we've been suggested to definitely try the best paella in town

clearly visible from outside it is not a cheap place, but we managed to enjoy our dinner: waiter welcomed us warmly and friendly even if we were not so well dressed

they brought a small appetizer without asking and that is the only bad experience: some kinda meat-mousse to put on bread, which we had immediately since we were highly hungry
actually I kiked out the morning after - just the mousse

then we had some marinated fish to split as appetizer, and finally a paella with a bottle of red wine

they brought the paella still into the pan just to show, then came back with two cleaned portions (without shells nor bones): definitely so good

80 euro, suggested for a romantic night
