Tiny small restaurant that for sure is one of the best in town. We were lucky to get table for same evening due the cancellation. Very good surprising tasting menu with well going wines for each plate. Service was professional and we enjoyed our romantic dinner :-) -Two locals M&E69-

We went here on the recommendation of our son who visited previously. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They spoke both Spanish and English which was good as we were practicing our Spanish. The approach of the tasting menus was unusual but made life easy to chose. They asked what we liked or disliked. We chose the surprise menu plus the accompanying wines. We were not disappointed. Course after course it was a delight. We ran out of superlatives. The consommé of tomato to the melon dessert with Szechuan button flower were incredible. This restaurant deserves at least one Michelin star. Can't wit to visit again.

I visited the restaurant just before Christmas with my girlfriend and we very much enjoyed it. Both waiters (who I think might be the owners) were interesting, inviting and informative about the menu and can offer their time to you in ample doses if required as the restaurant has around 8 tables giving a very nice, intimate vibe (book in advance).

Although I have sampled better in a similar price bracket, the food is very tasty, well cooked and well presented but as mentioned, the service helps to support the cost. We had tuna sushi (excellent) black truffle risotto (standard risotto), cod (nice), passion fruit amuse bouche (excellent and good fun) and chocolate fondue (excellent). I specifically requested the desert, although different to what was on the menu, and this request was gratefully fulfilled.

Drinks are pricey but, if you are a big wine fan, the selection is excellent (quantity of wine and variations, although I cannot comment on the quality). There is also a taster wine option to accompany each course (around 50 euros pp) for further variety.

I would recommend this place for sure but please do be aware you can only have the taster or surprise taster menu (65 euro pp) and do expect to pay 150 euros for your meal and drinks for two.

We have been to Con Gracia before, and have since dined in other BCN restaurants as a couple. But this time I needed an excellent location for dinner with business associates, who are all 'local' to BCN and Con Gracia came to mind.

Upon arrival, my colleagues noted that they were surprised as while they live in BCN, they had never been to this restaurant as they normally pick the places when people visit them. The staff was as warm and welcoming as always and of course we had the ‘surprise’ menu with a bottle of great QX wine. The (un) usual starter was the tomato water followed by the miso-foi soup, and marcel sashimi, and other courses. The finale was an excellent pana cota, that was one of the best I have had.

My local colleagues noted throughout the meal that they were so surprised with the food but for some reason had not heard or been to this restaurant before. In fact, they noted that “the dinner was great!” and was a “Fantastic election!!” and one of the party was making reservations for a birthday dinner at the restaurant.

So as we found out, while Con Gracia is sought out by visitors to BCN, once the locals find out about it, they realize there is another interesting take on food that mixes well with the overall eclectic food experience in BCN and should be included in their dinning pleasure.

Thanks Con Gracia for another wonderful dinning experience.
