We visited Con Gracia following a recommendation by friends and to celebrate my husbands birthday. We decided to have the chef's surprise menu with wine pairing and I can honestly say that we weren't disappointed. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and the food was simply amazing !! Yes it's a little pricey but certainly well worth it - we are going to make it a regular place to dine on our annual trips to Barcelona !!

Haven't read many good reviews and visited the restaurant, I was surprised to see how this restaurant has become the number 1 restaurant out of 4007 restaurants.

We went for the surprised menu and was expecting to be serviced with some creative Spanish dishes. And guess what, the chef decided to serve us with some Asian dishes: miso soup, teriyaki hake, tuna sashimi, etc. It's true its up to the restaurant to decide what dishes to serve, but I am not sure why on earth they wanted to try and serve mediocre Asian dishes to their Asian customers.

Very disappointed indeed, we were only in Spain for 2 evening, and we wasted one evening having mediocre over-priced Japanese meal.

Delicious food, great range of wine. Little bit hard to find a place. We had suprise menu, very nice...stuff is polite and explaine you what you eat because sometimes is really hard to recognize all ingridients. When you are together you have to take the same menu, that's the rule!

We visited the con gracia on on our vilest to barcelona, this restaraunts made our whole weekend. The food here was some of the best food I have ever tasted especially the foie gras and miso soup, I think it may be unfair just to pick out that though as every course was as excellent as the next, we also had the matching wine which was delivered and tasted fantastic also a great choice for each course, then the service, you wouldn't find service as good in a Michelin star restaraunts, happy and enthusiastic and loved the food and wine they serve as much as we did, so over all The Best Restaraunts By Far
A big thanks to them from Paul

Con Gracia is a lovely restaurant run by two fantastic front of house staff who throughout the evening delivered an impeccable service.

The food itself was nice and actually in parts showed examples of well thought out and well executed cooking but sadly overall it didn't have the consistency you'd expect at this level - the hake was perfectly cooked but didnt have enough teriyaki sauce to coat the fish, the sep and broad bean risotto lacked any real imagination and the venison although again well cooked the accompanying pumpkin and truffle puree didn't have anywhere near enough flavour. The snacks on the other hand deep fried balls of pork and spices and bread served with oils and dukkah (an Egyptian spice mix) were delicious. The desserts also were excellent and consisted of a Madagascan flower with pear granita and a vanilla panna cotta with strawberry puree.

If your looking for the best restaurant in Barcelona - I'd carry on searching. If your looking for decent place to eat and to be served in the utmost way then Con Gracia wont let you down.
