The location of this apartment is great for easy access to many of the best sights in Barcelona. Great restaurants within a few minute walk and it is a 5 min walk to 2 metro stations. The apartment was large and clean.
Do be aware that the stairs are a bit of a problem. Although the apartment was clean and in good repair, I would not say the same for the stairwell. Also, there are 3 flights up to get to the apartment. These are not the easiest to navigate and especially difficult with lots of luggage.
The furniture is simple, but comfortable. The beds were comfortable. There are air conditioners in each of the suites, one is not working great, but the fans are good. We were there when it was very hot, and the apartment was comfortable.
My complaints are regarding the company that is managing the apartment. My interaction with the owner was great, but I can't say the same for Key Barcelona. I received a conformation e-mail from them with instructions to call when I arrived and was on my way to the apartment. The phone number on the e-mail was not valid and I had to go online to find another number while in a taxi. When I did get an answer, I was told that he would meet us at the apartment. We arrived, and were standing outside the door for 10 minutes with all of our luggage. I called again to find that he had not left and would be another 15 minutes. I was not happy with waiting for 30 min with all of our luggage. He then said he would show us the apartment, sat down at the table and began taking phone calls from other clients. He used the table in our apartment for 30 more minutes as his office. We asked him several questions about how to work the air conditioner and oven in the kitchen, he did not have any answers. He then asked for a credit card to pay for a city tax that I was not aware I would need to pay. I wanted him out of the apartment so that we could start our vacation, so I just payed it without questioning.
Another complaint is that there are minimal supplies in the apartment. My husband had to go to the market to buy toilet paper and paper towels.
I would stay here again, but I hope that the owner considers using a different company for management.
This is the perfect spot. In Bario Gottic with food, drink, shopping, & sight seeing right outside the door. Apartments was clean and looked exactly like the photos. Was a great space for our large family. Check in process was a little difficult but overall a great space. Would recommend.
Good location. Close to cruise port. Minutes away from restaurants and bars. Apartment is big with a good lay out. Prepare to climb stairs to get 4th floor where the apartment is. Owner is very responsible and helpful. Enjoy the stay.
Located just off La Ramblas, this spacious, clean and comfortable apartment ticked all our boxes. Easy to get to from the airport by the airport bus or to the nearby metro station this apartment is home from home. If you want to eat out there are countless places either on your doorstep or in any direction you choose to walk. There are several micromarts locally for those little essentials such as tea and coffee. We found it very easy to get all over Barcelona from here either on foot, the metro or the Barcelona tour buses. We even had a great Segway tour of the parks and beach front from a Segway tour company 2 mins walk away. Would definitely book again if coming to Barcelona.
To understand what's good about this apartment, you need to understand Barcelona. If you like staying in the old part of town, where you'll find great tapas bars, restaurants, patisseries and shops only a few steps from your front door, you'll like this place. What comes with that is staying in an area that's got a bit of character, which some people may not like. If you prefer wide boulevardes and elegant 19th century apartments, stay somewhere like Eixemple instead but we love Barri Gottic.
The apartment itself is as presented online - it's clean & spacious, with good facilities. You do have to climb a few sets of stairs but that didn't bother us. And because it's in the old part of town, the windows open onto interior courtyards & light wells, so it can be a bit dark but the interior lighting is good. There were seven of us staying there in a family group and it had more than enough space for our needs, with plenty of beds and living space.
we were three couples on a long weekend in Barcelona, and each couple had a very large room with ensuite - together with large communal kitchen and "living" area. The property as advertised on TripAdvisor accurately portrays how it is. The apartment was clean -and our host met us as agreed on our arrival - so all good admin-wise.
Located in the gothic district is very handy for La Rambla, restaurants etc , though the immediate vicinity outside the apartment late at night does have a few dodgy looking people around and can be a little intimidating - though the streets were bustling with people, and we had no problem.
We found that whilst there were many signs imploring "residents" to be quiet after 10pm, there is quite a bit of external noise that you can hear in one of the rooms close to the passageway - though at the heart of a busy district this is probably unavoidable and only a minor irritant.
All in all the apartment was very good value, and we would thoroughly recommend.
