we have been in Barcelona on a business trip, my young family came with me from Australia.
Carolina was a pleasure to deal with from the the start as we had no knowledge of Barcelona she was very helpful and flexible with when we could arrive, the communication was great and she responded to questions quickly. We were met by a lovely lady who opened the apartment for us, it took much longer to get to the apartment than expected due to Taxi queues but she was happy to wait.
After a crappy hotel experience in Madrid, I was extatic to arrive at the apartment.
Poble Sec is a mainly residential area, but has great bars and restaurants on the main strip, be aware though that many of the restaurants have below par food... It has taken us a few days and lots of Google to find lovely places to eat authentic Spanish dishes. I can highly recommend Koska and Elshe both walking distance. There are many Supermercats and small delis on the way to parral.lel. Most locals don't speak English but many in the bars and restaurants speak enough to order and have a bit of a chat.
I loved being able to cook at home and get away from the busy streets. The apartment is very modern, it is clean and comfortable everything is new, the beds are crazy comfortable
which is very important to us. There is everything you need to feel like you are at home including coffee and hairdryer. We were in Barcelona in winter, and had the heater going all the time, our clothes didn't dry very well on the balcony as it was raining. Things to note the apartment is on the 3rd floor and there are no lifts this wasn't an issue for us but might be for others. The bed rooms are very small but lovely, we unpacked everything into the draws and wardrobes and stored our cases in the laundry.. We love the apartment and the location and would definatly stay here again if we returned to Barcelona.
