This hotel could be really great but just a few things need sorting out, although some may be unsurmountable.
The positives are that its in a good location, just three blocks from Passeig de Gracia and close to Girona Metro station. The room was a good size. Some people have criticised the rooms for being too small but it was big enough for two people for three nights. Our room had a terrace which was great and it was lovely sitting out there on an evening with a drink. There's a TV and the bed was very comfortable, in fact probably the best hotel bed I've had. I understand fully why they prioritise a big comfy bed over having more space in the room, its definitely something I'd do. There was a lounge where they serve breakfast and there's a tea/coffee machine, so that was handy, as not all hotels in Spain have tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.
On the negatives it was quite noisy. There is currently refurbishment work going on and at times this could be disturbing, particularly in the mornings and there was little respite from it - they seemed to be working from 8am until 8pm constructing a patio area (which was the noisiest aspect) but the work going on inside the hotel wasn't so bad. There was also a lot of noise from other rooms, could do with some better sound-proofing. The terrace doors also make some noise, from both people closing them (how they are closed is a bit difficult and you couldn't avoid making noise!) and the wind would shake the glass.
The bathroom is really small and it was difficult at times to negotiate yourself in it when trying to get out, with the floor towel getting in the way of the door. Plus there is no door on the shower, and just a glass wall, so the bathroom floor gets very wet. The glass wall wasn't sealed well in our room so the water would get out underneath it and make the floor even more wet.
The staff were friendly and the design is cool, its the kind of look I like and I think if they could sort out just a few small things it could be a great place to stay. I know I've criticised a bit but none of the things I've mentioned spoiled the stay at all!
