Great location, just off La Rambla. Very tastefully done. They do not have bellboys to take your luggage to the room but the receptionist helped me with our luggage as I had quite some pieces and my 3 yr old daughter was also with me, I have never seen this level of helpfulness in Europe hence for this reason I will give a five star rating for service to this hotel. We had a room for 2 adults + 1 child so the room size was good, don't know if all rooms are equally big? Provides free cycles for touring the streets which I think is one of the best ways to see Barcelona. Decent breakfast spread but they do not do made to order eggs. For the hotel management I just have two suggestions 1) the fittings used in the room and shower such as the telephone & the lamps and the shower handle are a little flimsy 2) the bed / mattress is not very comfortable, I guess it's a spring mattress so people not used to sleeping on spring mattress will not have a good night sleep. At some places aesthetics has taken priority over ergonomics which is why I rate this hotel much higher than average but a decimal short of very good. All in all a good place to stay due to it's location, aesthetics and friendly smiling staff.

Excellent location for all attractions and Metro station. Nice area without any issues. Good restaurants/bars and cafes for breakfast. Too pricey at hotel.
The staff were excellent and very helpful.
The room that we stayed in had a balcony which was great with a view along towards the Passage de Gracia.

Most of the front desk staff looks like they have rolled out of bed (at any time of day). Front desk is not helpful, and at times rude. Day 1 went to front desk, 3 on staff, chatting with each other, I stood there while one actually saw me and they continued to chat. Another day, gave postcard with postage money to mail, friend never got card. Asked for extra small bed in room, they literally delivered a cot that was missing all of the center slats--unusable. One raining day asked front desk if they had umbrellas and the response was a side to side head and said nothing. I have gotten better customer service at motel's in nyc. But excellent neighborhood and location. I guess for the area, a good $$$ deal.

Room Tip: Had a room with Terrace, nice view overlooking street.

Dear Mr. Henry,

I am writing in reference to your comments through tripadvisor , regarding your stay in our hotel Petit Palace Museum .

Above all, I would like to express my regret and offer my apologies for the fact that our Hotel did not meet your expectations due to the reasons that you mention.

About the extra bed you told Maria, in the front desk department, that you needed an extra bed because you couldn’t sleep with your colleague.
She told you, that wasn’t possible to put a regular extra bed in the room that you had (Junior Suite with a King size bed) and you told her that you needed the extra bed, and doesn’t matter if the bed was big or medium.

Otherwise, We send the mail 3 times a week, maybe it doesn´t arrived yet.

At the Hotel we have umbrellas for customers, but we have no umbrella for all hotel guests, if the hotel is full we have not for everyone, I’m sorry about that.

Your comments are valuable and help us with our continuing effort to improve the quality of the services to our guests.

Although you recent experience did not completely satisfy the expectations you had of our hotel, I would dearly hope that this experience does not deter you from any further visit to our establishment.

I would be most pleased to attend you personally in case you would like to make a new reservation in our hotel assuring you our best attention and conditions

Yours Sincerely,

Thais Flecha Mora
Director

Hotel is in a good location because is near Placa Catalunya (center and place when take the airport bus) and the reception staff are very nice, pleasant and very helpful. Romms very fine and big but the breakfast is expensive. I recommend this hotel to anyone with a family or a couple wanting to visit Barcelona and definitely will return. I'm sure!

Location wonderful in a quiet street but within 5 minutes' walk from Paca Catalunya. We took the airport bus to the centre then walked easily. Quiet hotel, very pleasant receptionists. Rooms fine, if a little dark, but great shower etc. Breakfast expensive but plenty other places nearby with excellent breakfast menus. We would definitely consider this hotel again for its convenience and quiet rooms.

Room Tip: A room at the back would be quiet, but without any view.

Best thing about the hotel is the location . Right in the heart of barcelona we never needed taxi. You either walk or get around by bike.
Very helpful staff.
Speaking about room , the mattress was very bad. And the room not well ventilated .
Breakfast was ok but not great. I preferred to eat out in the many tapas around
Even though the room wasn't great I would stay there again .

We stayed in April 2013, the reception staff were polite, pleasant and very helpful.
The hotel looked quiet, it was quiet, but breakfast the next morning showed just how many people were actually staying there. No noise in the corridors at all.
The only down side was the size of the restaurant, you needed to queue for a table at breakfast and there were not enough staff to cope. Good variety of both hot and cold food available.
The room we had was lovely and big, the bed was comfy although there were 2 single mattresses instead of one double.
The bathroom had a huge walk-in spa shower, it was fabulous.
The room/furniture was a little dated but very clean.
We had asked for a room with a balcony, we did get one and with the 2 sets of doors closed there was no street noise.
Free wifi and laptop in the room was a bonus.....and worked.
It was very central for getting out and about, short walk to La Rambla, Plaza Catalunya etc.
Good place to eat was Bella Tapa on Rambla 8, good atmosphere and good value.
We would quite happily return for another stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room.
