Great hotel, very impressed with the room, cleanliness and decor. Reception area is elegant and we loved the roof terrace, it's perfect for having a few drinks at the end of the day. Room was lovely and comfortable. Great location, just 2 mins walk to the train station, and shops around the corner. Very modern hotel. Would come back here for sure!

We just spent four nights at Hotel Villa Emilia. We were so pleased with this friendly boutique hotel. We loved the fact that it is located away from the tourist areas and noise. The hotel is so close to the metro which is extremely easy to use, and gets you anywhere you want in Barcelona in minutes. We bought a three day pass. The staff is lovely and accommodating. They even packed a box breakfast for us when we left, as we had a very early morning flight out. The terrace bar is a beautiful spot to end your day and relax after sightseeing....As we loved visiting Barcelona, we know we will return to this little gem of a hotel!

After reading about this hotel on this site, we booked for a 3 night stay. The hotel was very clean and close to transport. The staff, especially, Tatiana, were very helpful and friendly.
We even managed to ride the Metro, alone, not bad for a couple of 70 year olds in a strange city.!
The roof top bar was relaxing and friendly with great cocktails. The tapas luncheon was fabulous and the breakfast delicious, especially the egg cooker.

Very happy with this hotel - room modern and good bathroom with Ritual toiletries. Saff very helpful. Very quiet at night. Lovely roof top bar where we had cocktails on the last night. Ate in Zinc bar the first night and food was excellent. We had breakfast the last day and it was good but 14 euros is too expensive. There are a lot of little cafes nearby to have breakfast. Saw the Magic Fountains the first night and loved these and ate at a pizza restaurant on the rooftop of the Arena shopping centre. Took the bus tour for two days which was excellent. Discovered that if you turn right at the end of the street rather than left to the Rambla that area with the magic fountains is good for restaurants.

I stayed in a hotel near by Villa Emilia but I just couldn't miss the great looking Zinc bar when walking down the street to the Rocafort metro station (red line L1). I gased through the window every time i passed next to this bar and one night deciced to pick up my friends and go inside (there is a street terrase also).
The interior is nicely decorated, big black tables and chairs, huge lamp, a piano, a big wooden cabinet, a good selection of spanish wine and great service.
It was midnight when we arrived and there was nobody inside except the great waiters- they were more than helpful and when they heard that one of us has birthday at midnight thay gathered and sang happy birthday and played some happy songs from they mobile phone, it was very funny and nice to see people at the end of the working day with so much enthusiasam.
That is the thing that makes your night out special and rememberable.

We've just come back from a 4 day break in Barcelona staying at the Villa Emilia and felt we had a very good stay with great value. The position on Trip Advisor says a lot. We got a cab to the Rocafort metro as the driver didn't know where this hotel was and we knew it was close so we walked the 50 or so yards to the hotel from there. Many have mentioned just how close the underground is and because it's in a quiet area it's a massive plus. Still, we walked a few times to the main tourist area which took around 30mins. The open top bus tour is fantastic in the city as points of interest are spread around and the hotel gave us a discount for 2 days travel on it...... one stop is only 10 mins walk away so although this hotel isn't right it the busy areas, getting around is easy. Staff were excellent and friendly including the cleaners who were always smiling. It's extremely clean and would definitely recommend to any travellers.
