Enjoyed our stay here. We were two girls travelling together and everything was comfortable for us - some problems with the airconditioning though as it was very noisy and not overly effective either. Someone came in every day to tidy the room, and not just make the bed, but folded everything beautifully and saw to its upkeep when we were busy exploring Barcelona. Breakfast was ok, only hot food available were eggs, and bread was a little repetitive - choice of two cereals and orange juice out of a bottle. All in all, recommendable though - location was good and easy to get everywhere. Friendly staff, but good we spoke Spanish as I don't know if their English was top-notch. Computer for everyone's use. Stay here for a mid-range, no frills comfortable stay.

I was there as a single person through business trip in BCN. I slept at the SOTOO room ...at the website they say "plenty of day light" but when I opened the window to my surprise I had a WALL in front of me!!!so not plenty of DAY LIGHT! The housekeepers are just lovely!! Toillet I had to share! not a problem once I was almost alone there! was clean but in need of revamp!! The room was loud cause of the air conditioning...every 10 minutes it made a very laud sound!!! could not sleep while there....the towels I put on the floor that means "change please" but they did not! Breakfast was OK! fresh fruit, and cheaper Yogurt from DIA supermarket......sadly....I would not recomend for a single person on business trip.

Casa con Estilo is truly a lovely place. It is not located in Barcelona center, but it's right next to the FGC underground train station and a train L7 will take you to Placa Catalunya in less than 10 minutes. Trains run until midnight every day, on Fridays and Saturdays even longer, so you really don't have to worry about getting wherever you want from this hotel.

Rooms are nicely decorated, each room has it's own style and is very different from typical hotel rooms. We rented a room with own bathroom. Room was very spacious and clean, bathroom also, towels were changed every other day, room & bathroom were cleaned every day. There was air condition in both room and bathroom. There was also a beautiful terrace we could use from 10am to 10pm and also another terrace with a nice view where we could eat breakfast.

Dining room is also lovely. Breakfast is very basic, but good.

Area where the hotel is located is nice, there are several restaurants and coffee shops, also pharmacy and supermarket in the neighborhood. You can walk to Park Guell and also to Av. Tibidabo. Housekeepers do not speak English, so revise your Spanish. WiFi is free and available, signal is OK.

After check-out, you can leave your baggage in the hotel until you leave to airport. The only problem we had, was connected with that matter. We told the housekeeper we would be back to pick up our luggage at 5pm, but when we arrived she wasn't there. We were lucky, because one of the guests happened to be at the hotel and he let us in, otherwise there could have been quiet a problem for us. That is the only remark I have.

I would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Barcelona.

I've been travelling in Europe for over 30 years now, and don't think I've ever stayed in a "hotel" I enjoyed more in the medium range.
No, it is not for those people who need someone to hold their hand .... But the old world style is wonderful.
The location was perfect for us - close to the center, a short metro ride away from Catalunya Plaza - in a quiet, but fairly well serviced area (pharmacy next door, dinner take out place across the street, bakery around the corner). The staff are superb. Helpful and attentive. The apartment is extremely clean and polished. The rooms are comfortable, as are the beds.
The balconies are great, as is the dining room. Nice mix of elegance and art for decor.
Would highly recommend for independent travelers to Barcelona.

My review is good by European standards but not by American standards. The site is quite beautiful, a beautiful apartment in an older building. Chandeliers and antique furniture in the public places, great terrace on the roof, some rooms with a balcony....But for the price of a single, in the States you have a large room, a TV and an indoor bathroom. In this guest house you have nothing but a room as big as a closet and a bed.
The staff though is outstanding, very helpful and pleasant. The air line company lost my luggage for 3 days and Vanessa was so nice and helpful.
The breakfast included in the price is very decent.

Room Tip: Upgrade to have a larger room, maybe with a bathroom.

Casa con Estilo is an amazing place, set in a quiet neighborhood, and moments away from all of the sites in Barcelona. We felt so well taken care off, in every sense of the word. Breakfast was perfect, with eggs, and fresh made baked goods, fruit and yogurt. Our rooms were made up and cleaned every day and the surrounds are gorgeous. To top it off, there is a roof top terrace, with amazing views, and a great place to just relax when your walking feet are tired.

Room Tip: Ask for the large suite with it's own terrace.

Be aware, that parking is a major problem in Barcelona as well as other larger towns in Spain - otherwise a beautiful country to travel - hotels in the country side are scarce or very expensive

Room Tip: Excellent rooms with a very good shared balcony overlooking the city and the nearby mountains
