An amazing place to visit at night when local musicians come out and play their acoustic guitars by candle light. Locals gather around drinking red wine and chatting happily around the fountain. Something about this plaza is very special. I loved it here.

If you are tired of the hussle of the old city centre, just visit this small place and you will step back in history. Shaded by tall ancient building, the facade of the church of St. Felip Neri dominating on it and a nice round fountain in the middle, it creates a nice break in a quiet corner right in the middle of the Gothic quarter. A scene of the movie Vicki Cristina Barcelona by Woody Allen was shot here: go and see why!

It is nothing special, there are many placas more beautiful than this one. And the church on it, nothing special too.

If you´re walking in the GOTICO neighborhood you should pass by the Plaça Sant Felip Neri, it is a little square with beautiful hotels around and full of history to be read from the walls... it talks a little bit about the war in Spain.
Spend a little bit of your time there, it´s worth!
