“A very nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

A very nice place to spend some time in the evening. The Fountains and the tall monument in the middle of the road give it a majestic look. Worth a visit.

“One of the best squares in Barcelona.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

Gorgeous street, gorgeous museum, gorgeous fountain, topped off with gorgeous views. The plaza is spacious and clean, flanked by the MNAC museum at the top as well as the Magic Fountain (it lights up!). The walk up is easy and made even easier with the help of several escalators placed along the way. Great place to relax and see the sunset and take amazing pictures.

“Nice Plaza!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 29, 2013

We went to this plaza one evening just to see the magic fountain. We walked from the main circle statue down the Av. del la Reina toward the fountain. The street is very pretty, and the Catalan art museum in the distance is very beautiful. We arrived early to people watch before the show. The magic show (Thurs - Sun night only) was fantastic. Afterward walking back down the street at night with all the fountains lining the street on was also a very spectacular sight. Take the time to at least visit the street and steps of the museum.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

I think that it is one of the most beautiful "plaças" in Europe ! The fountain is so beautiful, the stairs going up to the museum is so charming ! The facade of the museum MNAC is amazing ! The view from there facing the city is breath-taking and we just can't get enough, we stayed for 30 minutes, took cold drinks, sat and just admired the view ! Nothing negative to say.....just that we were not so used to a very hot temperature, and under the scorching sun,,, we have never perspired so much !

“Looks grand in the day and Magical in the night!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

Its a must visit, especially in the night, with the lights and music around the spectacular and colorful magic fountain.
This Palace houses the MNAC-Museu Nacional d'art de Catalunya, which is a very rich art gallery. You must visit it if you have the time.
If you are pressed for time, just visit the it from outside. It is majestic.

Suggestion:
1. It gets extremely crowded in the night, so reach there early (by 6 max 7) to secure a good spot for you.
