Arrived in mid November air conditioning off heat on no control over it. Room on the in a stair well situation, no window to outside only onto stair well. No alternative other than to open the window so noise was a problem all night. Sink in bathroom would not hold water. Toilet seat needed attention reading lamp not working .Hotel has the Metro running under it or near as you can hear and feel the trains at night.

Positives:
Great location (walking distance to major squares and metro stations)
Very courteous staff
Very clean

We booked two weeks before arriving and got the rooms for a low price, considering the location and the stars. We opted out of breakfast, as we found a good bakery just approx 50m from the Hotel. The rooms are of good standard, nothing fancy, but with all that could be hoped for from a basic hotel room.

Negatives:
Noise from the corridors flows into the room a lot. We requested a room at a higher floor and were not disturbed by the sounds from the roads.
Springy beds

Overall, this is a very good hotel with helpful, kind staff, a high level of cleanliness and excellent value for the price.

Room Tip: The higher the better, for best view ask for a Sant Antoni-facing room

I did not choose this hotel as I was on a business trip and it was booked for me (so I cannot comment on the price). The facilities are a little worn down, but the hotel (room included) is quite nicely decorated and clean. The staff was polite but not friendly. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with sweet and savoury delis and fresh juices. The room was quiet and spacious. The location is quite convenient (very close to the Universitat metro station) but the area is not so great (no good reastaurants nearby and very close to the Raval area). Free wi-fi available.

This hotel was not SO bad but it wasn't what i was expecting at all. I figured a 3 star hotel would still have a "hotel-type" bed and pillows, instead the bed was a basic spring-mattress that was HORRIBLY squeaky. The room was very small as well. My boyfriend flew to Barcelona to visit me for 8 days while I am studying abroad. We wanted a few nights alone and thought this hotel had great prices. Although it did, the service was not good at all. My aunt had surprised us with a bottle of wine for when we arrived. The hotel gave us a broken wine opener and apparently didn't have anymore!? They also called us a few times a day to ask us random questions which was annoying. They also have no English speaking tv channels (only about 13 channels all together). If you're looking for something basic with bad service, this is the hotel for you.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street have a nice balcony.

Yes, this is in a good central location, but its a very noisey hotel due to its shape and the metro line which runs under the hotel. We could hear the metro trains in our 5th floor room. Beware, the first room we had was an inside one on the 1st floor, with a broken wardrobe door and a double bed. Not what was booked. The very helpful lady on reception the next morning gave us a front facing twin on the 5th floor which was much quieter! Buffet breakfast was very good with a reasonable selection of foods. Neither of our rooms was a nice as the photos posted by the hotel.

Room Tip: ask for an outside room and the nearer the top floor the quieter it should be.

The rooms are pretty basic rooms, beds are a little hard however they were clean and the hotel is in a great location, very close to all the attractions and we found it is a pleasant area to walk along.

We booked this hotel and arrived in the evening to a very rude man on reception. The location is great, just off the Ramblas and the room was clean although it didn't have an external window, only an internal window. Good value overall but they need to sort out their staff although the woman in the morning was really lovely.

Room Tip: Maybe ask if the room has a window
