I had a favourable online offer, then when at the hotel I had an upgrade from executive to double single usage, with a window on the street (I understand that the receptionist suggests this option if possible)
So for me the price was extremely convenient.

But apart from this, the hotel is really a superior 4 stars.
The street has a limited traffic
The area is very pleasant, few blocks fron the Paseo de Gracia and casa Milà... so from the metro station
The hotel architecture is modern and very attractive, elegant
The room is not largem but large enough to enjoy
The bed was very good
Of course, spotless clean
The bathroom modern and elegant
Shower box... was not a box... it was really large
The courtesy toiletries, high quality
The breakfast kind of elegant, lot of fruit ..... on the "design" style (you may decide whether to stay or take one outside; the area around is full of nice shops and bars of all kinds; however, in my case it was included, which is not very common in Barcelona, it seems)
Really super !!! Will consider it again, when back in barcelona.

Room Tip: rooms with a window on the street

This is a trendy spot in a central area of the Barcelona city center.

The hotel staff is very accommodating and the breakfast is one of the better one's I've had in my hotel stays.

The hotel is located walking distance from many popular tourist areas and is also easily accessible by metro/bus.

We had a very pleasant stay at Granados 83 in September for 8 nights with 2 rooms. It's only a few minutes walk to the Diagonal Metro station (the Metro of Barcelona is just awesome!). The hotel was nicely designed. Our rooms were not large but clean and tastefully decorated. I'd have preferred the twin beds separated, instead of being put together. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a lovely experience.

I am not one to normally complain about hotels however this one is way overpriced for the quality.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights during our honeymoon. Initially the hotel looked nice, very modern with very nice decor. Unlike some of the other reviews, we thought the staff was very nice and helpful in providing directions around the city.

We were disappointed by a few things.

First, many aspects of the hotel look nice but look closer and they are dirty and not functional. Our shower was a good example. It featured multiple jets and functions however nothing worked and mold was growing all over the shower. Light switches were very complex, understanding they are trying to be modern, however our bedside lamp was broken and the porch light is not controllable (on until 2AM is controlled by the hotel).

There was an open half empty can of Coke left in our refrigerator when we checked in!

Internet was so weak that it was not usable in the room.

Restaurant recommendations pointed us to very touristy locations and were very overprices. Although the food was very good they were very crowded and pushed as many people through as fast as possible... our waiter basically ordered our food for us and we were done eating in 20 minutes.

Lastly, I do not know if it was the hotel's fault or not however we booked this hotel online as our first purchase on a brand new visa card... a few days later we had $1200 worth of foreign charges. Their website was the only one we used the card at. Again, it might not be there fault but something worth noting.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at our hotel. We are deeply sorry to hear you were disappointed about a few things even though you value our staff as nice and helpful.

Regarding the technical problems you found in the room it is a pity you did not contact us while you were here; we would have solved them immediately or we would have offered you another room.

On the other hand I do apologize for the issue of the minibar. We have already talked with the department in charge in order to avoid this happening again they will be more carefully checking it.

Concerning Internet it should have worked since we have just made some improvements and increase our coverage; however we are aware sometimes this type of things may occur and sometimes it is due to reasons beyond our control.

As far as our restaurant recommendations I would like to inform you we have a list which is supervised by the management in order to offer to our guests the best restaurants and not the tourist ones; however some of them are very popular sometimes are crowed by tourist and local people. We do apologize if the receptionist option was not the best for you.

Once again, we are very sorry for all the inconveniences and we do hope that the next time you travel to Barcelona we get the opportunity to show you our improvements

Best Regards
Sònia Calvo

We found this hotel after searching for a while in internet. From the pictures it seems promising. Coincidently they have a package to offer. So we kinda lucky.
When we arrive in Barcelona we directed by the information people in the airport to take a metro and change in Sant Èstacio and stop in Diagonal. From there we only walk 5 minutes to reach the hotel. It is indeed a quiet area around the Eixample. From the outside the hotel doesn't seem so special, but once I was inside I got astound by the modern design and minimalist boutique style hotel. We arrived pretty early from the check in time, so we decided to go out first and look around the city. The staffs are very friendly, they offer us if we want to deposit our luggages in the hotel, and we said yes.
After we returned to the hotel to check in it went very smooth and our luggages already in our room. The room pretty cozy and warm. Loving the color pattern where it's dominated by earth tones, gives the effect of feeling welcome with a down to earth embrace.
We were staying 3 nights over the long weekend. But the experience were unforgettable. Oh yeah don't forget to check on the rooftop bar in the attic.

We just stayed here for a romantic weekend away and there is no question that it is architecturally very lovely. The rooms are also impressively decorated in a modern style and comfortable. Moreover, the staff at the front desk are both friendly and knowledgeable. However, the hotel has some drawbacks that some people may view as more problematic than others. First, some rooms in the hotel have extremely limited outdoor lighting available. Our first room was on the ground floor and while we had a large window in the corner, it was at the base of a huge shaft running down the centre of the building and thus natural light was extremely limited. This bothered us a little but the fact that the room had a grotty and mildew encrusted shower with no bath tub was what ultimately led us to request a room change. We were moved to the fourth floor where the room had plenty of light. It also had a bathtub supplied with bath salts and some wonderful bath oils.Yet again, the bathing area had a lot of rot. Some of this mold was so deeply embedded in the white stone of the bath that it is understandable that the cleaning crew cannot get it out but some of it, just beneath the rim of the bath tub, was soft and thickly layered, easily coming off with the scrape of a finger. Indeed, a quick scrub with bleach would easily remove it. In all other ways, this hotel is a solid four stars, but they have to get their cleaning teams to be a lot more thorough.

Room Tip: Higher floors have more light and bath tubs.
