Room and amenities very well designed and well maintained. Room service very quick and staff very helpful. Internet service needs to be completely rethought, access codes for a free 90 minutes of internet barely worked and the website to purchase longer access crashes. Other than that I will be back.

This hotel is super nice. Our tiny room was very clean, turndown service with a chocolate on the pillow, great bathrobes, and a sweet bar and tiny pool upstairs. It was also the worst nights sleep ever. We only had one window and I wish it had been bricked shut. It was soooooo noisy. It was impossible to sleep through the night without waking up multiple times due to drunkards in the road.

We booked a suite duplex on the top of the building. The modern design is interesting and the service, and in particular the front desk team, is friendly. The location is good, and there are several restaurants and shops at walking distance. However, I found that its services and infrastructure do not live up to expectations created by the website. The first annoyance was parking the car. Although I was driving a compact, I had the sensation that the driveway and parking area walls were attacking me. There’s so little space for maneuvering that the hotel consciously provides someone to walk down the driveway ahead of the driver to assist on the most difficult driving spots. The major issue was that the suite duplex is impressively small for 2 people. The room is barely larger than the double bed. There’s a small charming closed with badly designed space, so one of the 2 suitcases had be on the corridor disturbing the passage. There’s a terrace with a view of the interior of the block, and only pictures of the neighbors hanging their wet clothes was possible. Cleaning wasn’t the strength of maintenance. There were disturbing footprints on the wall bellow the TV set. On the top floor of the duplex there was a tiny TV room with a nice leather couch, which alternatively used as wardrobe. The TV room gives access to a design outdoors deck with a small pool, which is too small to be considered a “swimming” pool. This would be a nice intimate and relaxing area if it wasn’t shared with the next-door bedrooms. The bathroom looks nice, and is the area of the bedroom where space is not a real issue, but the shower is not strong enough. The hotel charges breakfast and full-time wifi as extras, which is something I cannot understand. However there is a nice coffee shop across the street that serves croissants and good coffee, and to minimize the Internet access constraint the hotel issues 90-minute vouchers with no charge. We walked around the hotel common areas, and liked them better than our room. The restaurant and the terrace bar look nice, although I didn’t check the restaurant menu. The terrace bar has a small pool and accommodates few people, but apparently gets busy some days of the week and can be a nice place to chill out. The hotel is worth a visit for its design, but if you’re looking for quality services and reasonable space, Barcelona certainly offers a number of more appropriate choices.

Room Tip: I would not recommend the suite duplex for 2 guess with luggage for more than 1 day due to the reduc...

3 of us stayed in a split level room off the lobby. Interior design was very modern and comfortable, although my lower level room was a bit on the dark side. The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. The terrace bar was quite sheik with its bench-pool. Bar was not always staffed, and the convention is to call the front desk who then calls the appropriate person. This was a bit different to what Im accustomed to and on one occassion resulted in a quite a delay. Location was perfect... quiet, close to good eats, close to La Rambla and far enough to not be bothered by its commotion. Felt very safe in the neighborhood.

I´ve stayed at this hotel twice. First time at a double room, facing an interior patio, nice and calm. Not too big but comfortable. The bathroom was big enough but lacks space for personal toiletries, especially if you are two.
The next time I booked a suite and asked for a late checkout as it was my birthday but I don´t think they took note of it. The suite is great. It feels like being in an apartment. Two heights. The top floor had a double bed (not king) , mini bar, and a bathroom with shower. It feels a bit smallish. It rained and the rain came though a corner by the window. The lower floor had some beautiful brown leather couches than can be converted to a single bed, TV, mini bar, table with a few chairs and a big bathroom with bathtub. Only missing a kettle to have some tea or coffee.
The decoration is beautiful, very Zen like and warm. I didn´t try the breakfast or the root top bar as I had a busy schedule. I would go back to the suite if I find a good offer.

The location is excellent, Sagrada Familia and the Ramblas are both in walking distance. Since Granados street is a one way street, traffic is lighter than other streets around, alowing quiet night. There is a metro station very near by.
However, the walls are very thin, and we were awake by a baby crying in a room close by.
The overall quality was outstanding at the reception, with many customer attention details like lending us umbrellas as it was raining.
The room price includes 90 minutes free Internet per day.
The room cleanliness is good.
We chose to not have breakfast in the hotel as it is overprice, and there are nice cafeteria on the other side of the street where you pay for 2 the price of 1 breakfast in the hotel.
It is my third stay in this hotel, and i will certainly go back there

This hotel is my shelter when in Barcelona. I've tried many other and always try to come back here. The decoration is inventive and the rooms really soundproof. I'd even recommend the top floor duplex rooms. So cool after a day working or walking in the city. The bar and pool on the roof are quiet and nice. I recommend +++

Room Tip: I never had a room on the street but all seem to be equal (apart for the stunning duplex)

A superior four-star hotel located in the very heart of Barcelona, just a few minutes away on foot from Avinguda Diagonal and Passeig de Gràcia and surrounded by the city's best shopping area.Located in a former hospital from the last century, Carrer Granados number 83 was reconverted into an Art-Deco hotel establishment. Its rusted iron structure, reminiscent of the old lofts of New York’s Soho, contrasts with the stone and glass facade and with interior decoration of maximum minimalist elegance and more than a hint of Zen.Bright, elegant spaces are connected around a central patio with a skylight and a spectacular crystal covering, bringing together iron, brick, zebrawood and tamarind wood, natural leather and Thassos white marble. If you would like to stay in the centre of Barcelona and enjoy the city's most avant-garde architecture, don't hesitate to come to Hotel Granados 83.Services77 guest rooms: 5 single rooms, 6 Executive, 59 double rooms, 7 DuplexRestaurant 3G Bar8 Terrace BarBreakfast buffet24-hour room service and mini-barBusiness centreWi-Fi in all areasFunction rooms and spaces for events: Granados 83 room, multi-purpose space The Klub, 3 Restaurant, the patio of 3 Restaurant, poolside terraceOutdoor swimming pool and solariumGymParkingLaundry and ironing serviceSmall dogs allowed ... more   less
