“Perfect location, perfect city hotel.”
Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

Just arrived home from a fabulous trip to Barcelona and stay at Casa Camper with my neice. Having been to Barca twice before and stayed at Hotel Arts on both occasions, I can safely say I preferred this hotel for three reasons - location, superb staff and the convenient free 24 hour snack bar. The location is PERFECT if what you want is easy access to all main attractions yet still have a peaceful nights sleep. The staff clearly were happy in their work. The rooftop terrace was lovely for an end of evening chill with a drink before retiring to bed. I love Barcelona and thought I'd probably want a beach hotel next time I go but having stayed at Casa Camper - I only wish to stay there in future. Thank you Casa Camper! Just what my neice and I needed.

Good location. Helpful staff. 24 hour snack bar is ok. Breakfast is good and freshly prepared. We had 2 rooms and the separate lounge with hammock did not work as it meant crossing a public passageway to reach it- easier to just relax on the bed. On the downside the air conditioning was very noisy and the lack of a bar area plus the price of alcoholic drinks meant that having a drink in the hotel was not an attractive proposition.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter. Suites include a lounge which is within room and not a separate entity

We booked a three night stay at Casa Camper in order to see Barcelona prior to departing for a 7 day Mediterranean cruise. Casa was fantastic! We were an extended family of 13, seven of whom were children ages 9-17. We loved the location of Casa just off Las Ramblas, but tucked down a small side street that provided quiet sleeping at night. Unique to Casa is the 24 hour snack service provided. The hotel offers free drinks, small sandwiches, popcorn, M&Ms, fruit and yogurts all day. Perfect for a traveling family on different time zones!

Room Tip: Casa can sleep up to 4 in a room. We were a family of 5, so my son was in a small suite across the h...

A hotel where everything is prefect!

Location- off las rambles so in essence exactly where you need to be if visiting Barcelona

Staff- lovely, always friendly and full of great tips and travel/holiday advise. Which is all very accurate.

24hour food-comes in handy when your hangover or in need of a snack post breakfast or pre dinner. The food is actually very tasty and consists of fresh sandwiches, soup, salads, pop corn, m and ms, tea, coffee machine, smoothies, soft drinks and mineral water.

The breakfast is great- the lovely ladies can make you eggs (poasche, scrambled or fried), bacon, sausages, pancakes with maple syrup. There are also cereal, toast, fresh orange juice, cheeses and meats.
We loved the breakfast and ate so much we needed a post breaky nap then ventured out to explore the city. The breakfast kept us going till dinner.

Rooms- very clean, quiet despite being in the centre.

Cons- and this is very minor, the showers don't have a door or curtain which means if your sharing with a friend make sure they don't peek in on you showering.

The hotel is amazing and I would recommend it and stay there again in a heartbeat.

The Berlin casa camper on the other hand is horrid. The staff are quite the opposite (lack social skills, manners and unpleasant) it has a completely different vibe and I strongly suggest you avoid.

Room Tip: All are pretty much the same and great

This is a really unique hotel with incredible staff, great rooms, fantastic service, and a great location.

The first thing that impressed me was the welcome reception and hotel orientation. It was first class, professional, and friendly. During the orientation you learn about complimentary 24hr/day snack bar (which is stocked quite well). Then you are given an orientation of your rooms. Yes, rooms. 4 of the 5 rooms per floor have a separate lounge room (with a hammock). This hotel has lots of space! The WiFi is free and simple (no annoying confirmation pages). There are lots of electrical outlets in the room and even in the safe which is convenient for charging your laptop.

Breakfast is excellent, complimentary, and the chef is eager to cook something for you. In fact, all the staff seem eager to help you with something. I had a very early departure (5am) and they offered to cook me a breakfast (even though the breakfast doesn't start until 7am).

This hotel has quite a creative decor and it is a delight to stay there. This is where I will stay the next time I'm in Barcelona. No question. I won't waste any time looking for a different hotel.

Room Tip: There are only 25 rooms in this hotel so I'd advise booking early. Also, be aware of the separa...

The staff have obviously been hand picked - they are superb. Our experience at Casa Camper was excellent. The staff remember names / make you feel as though you are special and cannot do enough for you. Location perfect - just off Rambla. The 24 hour snack bar was great - always had something to feed my 4 year old granddaughter (healthy options also) - it really made life easy.I highly recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: they are all good.

Nothing to complain of at this hotel. Superb staff who were helpful in every respect. They made it their business to help without being intrusive. As an example, I asksed one person to book a taxi for the train station the next morning for our journey to Madrid. The next day a different staff member immediately knew that we had a taxi booked, and where we were going. Nearly as efficient as a nurse's shift hand over on a hospital ward!

The room was great. The fact that you get a separate chill out room immediately opposite the bedroom/bathroom is a definitive plus. It means in effect getting a suite for the price of a room. Not sure why the reviewer who thought this a Problem thought so. It meant opening the door and walking just a few feet. Both rooms had a TV. The chill out room had a fab hammock. Plenty of space also.

Comfortable bed. Nice touch with the bathroom area overlooking the Vatican garden that runs up the whole side of the hotel.

Free snacks (decent ones...wraps, sandwiches, fruit, coffee, soft drinks) from mid day all day and night.

Free wi fi.

Great location as well. Just a short stroll off the top end of la rambla. But quiet despite that.
