Casa Camper Hotel Barcelona

If you are ever in Barcelona consider staying at the Casa Camper. Very close to the Ramblas. Close to the metro. Each room has a separate lounge. You can only enter if you are a hotel guest. There is 24 hour snack area with coffee, tea, sandwiches, chips, soups, coke, water, popcorn, candy and more. Made to order breakfast in the morning. But most importantly they call you by name and remember the little things. They remember what you like to drink and eat every morning. They gave My daughter a cake for her birthday. I visited with my family (kids 11 and 14). We stayed for 4 nights.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 5th floor and were very happy

Quirky, comfortable, character. This is our last night in Barcelona and we are so happy with our choice to stay here. The hotel is ideally situated in the Ravel, close to the older part of Barcelona. The Ravel has a somewhat "seedy" reputation but we have not encountered anything shady in the least. The staff are warm, professional and incredibly helpful and the hotel has a very secure entrance system. One of the main bonuses is the 24 hour access to snacks and drinks in the dining area that can be taken into your room. Fresh sandwiches, soups, desserts, pastries etc are all included in the price and are not your typical vending machine fare. The room layout is different and very functional. Fabulous shower and very comfortable bed. A most memorable stay for all the right reasons.

Room Tip: Our room, 31, no noise and very private.

A real gem right at the heart of many top attractions. The staff were all absolutely brilliant! This warm boutique hotel does away with unnecessary frills (e.g. tea & coffee in your room) without compromising on little luxuries like a big walk-in shower and good quality food - breakfast and snacks (all included in the price). It's hard to resist the charm of the Camper spirit of adventure, which inspired us to walk everywhere all day and spend the evening swaying in the hammock in our mini-lounge while the 3-yr old drifted off to sleep in the bedroom. For me, the only drawback was that the air-conditioning was a bit loud and that's when it wasn't emitting a shrill whistle. There was clearly a fault with it that the technician seemed unable to resolve. Nonetheless, all told, I would stay at Casa Camper next time we visit Barcelona.

my wife and i spent ~5 nights there last week. first, i love the artsy/boutique feel to the place. the designers and decorators had a creative eye that gives the place such a unique feel. secondly, the employees there are fabulous. extremely helpful at every little detail in making our stay in BCN amazing.

i always like experiencing new places and mixing it up. but if i were returning to BCN, i would definitely return to casa camper.

Four nights at the Casa Camper was a memorable experience from the minute we checked in. The service provided by the staff is outstanding and makes the hotel what it is. I also liked the overall design feel (contemporary European) and if you visit the excellent Vincon store near Casa Mila you will see the same designer's work. If you like hotels with chintzy curtains, plush carpets, chandeliers, lounge bars, swimming pool, saunas and the usual standard fare, complete with anonymous staff then don't come to Casa Camper! We particularly liked the complimentary 24 hour serviced snack bar, the layout of the suite (lounge and bedroom directly connected), the excellent quality (and large) bed and the overall cleanliness. We would happily stay at this hotel again should we return to Barcelona.

Room Tip: There is one suite on each floor that has all the facilities together so if you don't like the i...

We departed on a mediterranean cruise from Barcelona and came a day early to experience the city a bit. My husband and I were traveling with our 3 daughters, ages 15, 14 and 11. We all wished that we had stayed longer. Casa Camper was awesome!

Hotel staff arranged transportation from the airport for us and that was perfect. Our flight was delayed for a couple of hours, yet our driver was right there at the airport holding a sign with our name. Whew..

We had 2 rooms. The "lounge" room that came with each room was unique - and a great idea. Initially, we were a little unsure because the bedroom is on one side of the hallway and the lounge is across the hall but the he same key opens each door and our kids loved having their own spot to hang out. Each lounge room had a hammock, small couch, large TV and a window with a view. Each bedroom was very cool with a great shower area - very clean also (from a cleanliness standpoint, I loved that these rooms were not carpeted). If we had any doubts, we would have split up parents and children between the 2 bedrooms, but we felt very safe and secure. Parents stayed in one room and the kids in the other - each had our own lounge and it was a perfect setup!

The self-serve food and drink area off the main lobby was convenient and the food was delicious. There were small salads, unique sandwiches, desserts, yogurts, fruit, drinks and more that are available anytime. As our sleep schedules were off and we were trying to maximize our time in the city, this was ideal.

We loved being right off La Rambla. The staff was friendly and helpful. We received a call from them as we were boarding the cruise. They wanted to let us know that we had left some items there if we would like to come back and get them. It was only my daughter's shampoo and a couple of toiletries. Can't say enough about this hotel from our initial impression to our last!
