“Amaazing hotel in Barcelona”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The hotel is located in Diagonal Avenue, which is a bit far from the Las Ramblas but the red tour bus we booked on has a stop right outside the hotel so moving around wasnt a problem plus the location has good transport links (tram, train).Shopping centre right opposite the hotel .

We booked a room for 3 adults for 4 nights, found our room ready at check-in,the hotel is very modern and clean, the showers were not private and had glass walls with a transluscent screen,a bit akward for 3 friends sharing a room but we managed somehow.

The hotel staff was very good and helpful,Javier helped us with our luggage and gave us some tips on places to visit in Barcelona.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a modern hotel in a good location at a good price.

The hotel was booked as part of a cruise package, what a hotel is clean and great end to the cruise arriving at this fantastic looking hotel located right next to the iconic Torre Agbar.
The hotel had easy access to the metro and the bus stop for Barcelona City Tours across the street. The hotel is ultra modern with cable TV and a small flatscreen in the standard rooms. buttons aside the bed give you complete control over the automatic shutters and lights in the entire room. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are air conditioned, there is a small pool on the 10th floor with a bar and sunbeds with fantastic views over Barcelona, what a fantastic way of relaxing after a long day enjoying the city.
The staff are very helpful and professional the hotel is very clean and tidy rooms are fantastic, and it has a restaurant and café / bar area on the ground floor with lounge area overlooking the street.

We booked this hotel as part of a cruise package. Hotel is in a quiet part of town, 30 mins stroll down the road called Diagonal to the port/restaurants/bars etc. Great shopping centre across the street. It is a city not a beach resort so quiet at night. Would advise booking Comfort Rooms on the lower floors as they are better. Gorgeous bathrooms and very wide comfy beds. Do ask the Reception for extra pillows, they are happy to oblige. There are extra duvets in the room if you want them. Bathrooms are well appointed, shower in bath, both a stick shower and rainfall shower head with good water pressure. Free toothbrush and paste, shaver and cream, sweets left by the bed at night, very good quality shampoo and shower gel and body moisturiser too. The high floors have better city views but if you were hoping to see the Sagrada Familia from your room you'd be disappointed but what you will see is a rocket shaped building very much like The Gherkin in London, very tall and beautifully lit at night (red white and blue - Barcelona colours apparently). Great views of the whole city from the decked roof, including the Sagrada Familia where there is a nice bar and a plunge pool with very cool chill out furniture and sunbeds. We spent a few hours up there in the daytime and enjoyed the pool - Very cold water but extremely refreshing. Breakfast was fabulous - beautiful buffet including Cava for making mimosas, properly squeezed fresh orange juice, also peach and pineapple juice, excellent coffee. Design of the hotel: Ultra modern, lots of Venga wood and copper used throughout, really fits in with the ethos and design of the beautiful modern buildings of Barcelona.

Room Tip: Ask or pay for Comfort rooms, really gorgeous!

With the proliferation of hotels in Barca, it has become quite easy to book a 4 star room at a very reasonable rate. Bear in mind you have to shop around and you usually won't get the same deal at the same place 2 years in a row.
Most of the clients are "cruceros"
Noisy. The elevator bell was resonating in the room.
Low quality Wi-Fi. Overpriced breakfast.
Location? close to metro. not so close to the beach. not so close to the center.
Terrace on roof. OK pool. Good views of the city.
Next time I'll stay someplace else.

This hotel is one of the coolest looking hotels with a good location, given it's right next to the iconic Torre Agbar. It has excellent accessibility with nearly every form of public transportation; taking the metro brings you to Plaça de Catalunya in under 10 minutes. The very spacious rooms look excellent and the layout is also very well thought out. Standard cable TV and a small flatscreen in the standard rooms. Buttons aside the bed give you complete control over the automatic shutters and lights in the entire room. Beds are a bit too firm which was a bit disappointing. The pool on the 10th floor is not very big but it is satisfactory, the nice views of all of Barcelona are breathtaking on the large terrace. The bar which also serves food is pricey but good. The only facilities I was missing was a wellness area (gym, sauna, etc.). Other than some small points of improvement our stay was great!

Room Tip: Upgrading to a better room will get you a significantly better view facing the city.

Stay for 4 nights, nice, quiet location to see many parts of Barcelona. The front desk folks are very friendly, offering local recommendation. Breakfast has a nice spread,
An improvement area is a firmer mattress will be much better.

Great room, great view (we were tower side) and really great location. We paid a bargain price for our stay through "otels". This price didn't include breakfast. The price was a little steep for breakfast (unless you binged on the free cava!!). Ample TV and there were handy 2 tier blackout/privacy blinds in our room. I found the wifi to be really good, my friend gave up with her phone but it was superfast via my iphone. The almost transparent shower cubicle was a little odd (thank goodness I felt pretty comfortable around my travel companion). There is a good shopping complex with supermarket (glories), a flea market, a metro stop and an awesome new design museum all within spitting distance. Admitedly, the swimming pool is the size of a postage stamp but there are freshly laundered beach towels to use on the many sun loungers and the view of the tower from the rooftop bar is absolutely spectacular. I cannot remember the name of the little place but if you leave the hotel entrance turn right and cross about 3 roads on the street opposite the glories complex there is a lovely very reasonably priced cafe for breakfast that had much better offerings than anywhere to eat in glories complex.
p.s. You can pick up the open top bus tour from just opposite hotel too, and therefore begin a circular trip from there (if you're prepared to fork out 26 euros for it!). There is also a free shuttle bus to a cool aqua park from a couple of streets over.
Really couldn't ask for more for the money from this super hotel!
