This is a good value for money hotel. The quality of the hotel is good but could be better. The room is big and nicely decorated but a bit old. They do not offer a coffee tray, free water bottles, bathroom slipper and bathroom robe. The chekin and checkout was fast and with good welcoming attitude.

We started our honeymoon in this hotel. Stayed here for two nights. Unfortunately I was sick, so we were in hotel for the most part. we stayed in room 401 which was very big with two huge windows facing in diff directions so we had great views. the reception staff helped write Spanish words for me to go to chemist and when I was too bad to leave room they rang a doctor for me who arrived within five min. The food at breakfast was not for me but lunch and dinner menu were very tasty. the pool on the roof was ideal to relax and so handy to get drinks and food without having to move. There was a shopping centre across the road which is very convenient. We will return to this hotel to do a proper tour of Barcelona someday soon I hope.

We just returned from a five day trip to Barcelona. We decided to stay at the Silken because of the price vs. perceived quality. We weren't disappointed. The Silken is a good value. The rooms are decent size and quite comfortable. The location is just a few meters from the Glories metro station so getting around town is easy. The staff was helpful and courteous. Probably the only negative, and this has been mentioned in several prior reviews, is the fact that the bathroom is separated from the sleeping area by only a screened glass panel. The lack of privacy wasn't a problem for us but if you have reason to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and have to turn on the light it lights up the entire sleeping area. Other than that it proved to be a great choice, particularly at the price!

This hotel is placed next to the Agbar tower and Glories' mall. Is a quite new hotel, the rooms are very elegant and conformtable. The worst thing to remark (if I have to highlight any drawback) is the WiFi, given that is just web-only, however you can purchase a full access WiFI.

Room Tip: Try to choose rooms from the 9 floor in order to take advantage from the Barcelona' skyline...

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. I travelled in a group of 6 late-teens so we were on a budget, which made it all the more impressive when we arrived to find a top-quality hotel. When searching, we were looking for something close to the beach and Las Ramblas - we found this to be great location. It's a 20min walk to the beach, and we use the Glories Metro Station to travel to Las Ramblas. There is also a shopping centre across the road with a supermarket, a few shops and some cafés which is very convenient. Another good point is that the hotel was also very easy to find when returning, as it is next to the Torre Agbar.

The rooms here are fantastic, air conditioned and cleaned every day. A few people have mentioned the glass shower doors but we didn't find this to be a major problem. The rooftop pool (quite small) and terrace is lovely to relax in the evenings although drinks can be quite expensive. The staff were very helpful and aided us in getting tickets to a Barcelona match, as well as giving us directions and advice on where to eat/sightsee.

We stayed for a week and never got bored. This is a fantastic hotel in a fantastic city. We enjoyed it so much that we will be returning again next year.

Thank you to all the staff that made our trip fantastic!

We found this hotel to be very modern, beautiful looking with a nice selection for breakfast but apart from that I did not like it. It is very pricey for what you get. The staff at the front desk never smiled. Of all the hotels we used during our trip, this was the one that we felt less welcomed. The bed was not comfortable, they only provide you with one pillow, the room is gorgeous but not practical unless you go with your significant other. There is a glass separation from the room to the shower which provides no privacy whatsoever. I went with a friend and we had to take turns getting out of the room while the other took a shower. If your intention is to get to know the city, then the location of this hotel is not good at all. I do admit however that getting some kind of transportation to take you to downtown is very easy. Taxis are constantly passing by.

Close to subway and tram station. It takes about an half hour to get anywhere in Barcelona. There's a big shopping mall across the street, so you can easily find food and shopping points.
