One word: great! Stylish, great design of the rooms, great position to visit the city, the view from the last floor, in front of the Agbar Tower, is astonishing. One of the best hotels i ever booked in the world.

we stayed for a week at the beginning of august and had a wonderful time. A few minor faults in that the room wasn`t ready when we arrived, also we had booked a room that when we got it actually looked out towards a building site. However a quick word at reception and we were moved to another room no problem. Our daughters had room 625 and this room had fantastic views of the Sagrada and the Torre Agbar. Rooms were a good size well cleaned every day and one night when we needed extra towels they were brought to the room within 10 minutes. We thought the reception staff were excellent and very helpful giving us advice and booking tables at restraunts for us.
Its about 7 or 8 minutes by underground from Las Ramblas but the station is only a two minute walk from the hotel. Taxi to the beach costs between 5 and 8 euros to Bogatel Beach which had good facilities ( bars/ showers/ toilets etc.)
Overall excellent stay, yes there is a glass screen around the bathroom, but we new about this when we booked it so it wasn`t a problem.
I would definitley recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

Room Tip: room 625 has excellent views so i would guess also 425,525,725,825 etc

excellent interior decoration of both the rooms and the common areas. I loved the glass bathroom and the fact that is separated from the WC. I loved the view to the cucumber building.
The room is spacious enough. The breakfast wonderful. It had everything.
The stuff was more than helpful.
Although it is not at the centre of the city the metro station is 200 metres away and the centre 2-3 stops away.
It is 20 minutes walk from the bus terminal.
The price was ok for Barcelona standards.

Stayed here for a long weekend in march-i was very impressed with the hotel itself-lovely rooms, and very impressive reception-very nice, modern building.. however-the service is awful.. we had food one afternoon in the restaurant, we were seated for 15-20minutes before anyone came near to serve us, the manager there clearly could see us sitting there-she looked over several times, and there was no one else in the restaurant-only us, but she was too busy on her phone to be bothered with us! And then, cleaners came down-and were clearly not happy to see us sitting there(despite the restaurant being open)and cleaned around us.

Breakfast was advertised as being open until 11am-but when we went down at 10.15am-the staff were already clearing away the food, and turning off the coffee machine. Our room wasn't serviced one day, and when we rang reception, we were told the house keepers had just left for the day. So, we asked for clean towels, and the reply and attitude we got was-that's not my job, therefore not my problem-this seems to be a problem in the hotel in general...very frustrating, as we were paying a lot to stay here! Nice hotel-but the staff could do with some customer care training!

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room!

With such a huge variety of hotels to choose from In Barcelona, it really is a difficult decision to make, fortunately we were recommended this hotel by a friend and it turned out to be a great choice.
Pros - clean modern room, although not central it is near underground train station, sightseeing bus stop, large shopping centre, Agbar tower. Bedrooms on one side of the hotel have a view of the Tower and Sagrada familia (make sure you request this). Roof top dipping pool and bar. Very stylish and trendy atmosphere, rooms smart with glass bathroom wall (you can watch the TV from the bath if you wish). very reasonable price, we considered it excellent value.
Cons - glass bathroom wall may not suit all, there was a smell in the toilet (which is separate), the desk said this was something that occurred sometimes and said they would tackle it, it actually bothered my wife more than me.
Generally the staff were very friendly, courteous and informative, except for a run in we had with the barman on the roof who decided to leave our lunch to go cold for 10 minutes on the counter whilst he chatted to the towel lady and cleared ashtrays, food and served drinks etc.

Overall a very good hotel, We would certainly return.

Room Tip: bedrooms on one side of the hotel have a view of the Tower and Sagrada familia (make sure you reques...

You could not get me back to this hotel if you paid me. After staying at an exceptional hotel like the Hotel Roger de Lluria, this hotel was a huge disappointment. There is absolutely no privacy in the bathroom. It is glass enclosed in the room. My two teenage kids shared a room and they could not shower if the other was in the room. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was their roof top pool. It was a one night stay (thank God) and I just wanted to relax. The pool was closed for a private party. The staff was rude, the decor stark, the hall ways so dark you felt like you were in a brothel and both rooms smelled of cheap cologne upon entrance. The rooms were small (even for Europe) and the bed was so hard I had to line it with pillows just to sleep. There was one redeeming feature, it was accross the street from a nice mall. Avoid--especially if you have a family.

Room Tip: Not a good hotel for families as there is no privacy in the bathroom.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it so much we plan on returning here for our first anniversary! The hotel made a fantastic first impression - modern, stylish and design orientated but with none of the associated snobbery. In fact, every member of staff we spoke to we a pleasure to deal with and we felt they did everything they possibly could to enable us to enjoy our honeymoon. We stayed in the suite which had great views across the city and of the Torre Agbar. The rooms had everything we needed, and like the rest of the hotel, they were immaculate. The bar, terrace and pool on the tenth floor were also great for relaxing and very reasonable. Yes the pool is small but the views are amazing and if you want to swim the beach is really not that far away. The hotel is situated so it's not too far from either the city centre sights and shops, of from the beach. Taxis are readily available, the tour bus passes directly outside, and the tram stop is literally seconds walk away. The food was also delicious although admittedly we only really had breakfast and snacks as we ate out every night. All in all, I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough and can't wait to return next year!!
