Having despaired of finding good food in Barcelona at any of the most popular tourist spots we consulted Trip Advisor and took a short taxi ride to this little gem.

The welcome was great and the service good (once language difficulties had been resolved) - best of all - the food was spectacular.

Wonderful tapas tasting menu culminating in some beef fillet in a blue cheese sauce that was mouth watering. The group on the table next to us were returning for a second night - and similarly salivating over the seafood paella.

We finished with the cheese tasting platter - scrumptious and highly recommended.

All washed down with a great house red wine that the waiter was happy to recommend - and with no attempt to up-sell.

So good in fact, that we couldn't quite stop ourselves returning the next night for a repeat performance.

Searching for something other than tapas for a change,,,,,,,,,

Paella for three was good, tapas for one daughter and artisan cheeses also.

Extremely friendly staff, very obliging. Try the house red ( Ardeval Anjoli, a 2011 Priorat) - a snip at 17Euros.

Evening meal for four with wine, water and bread - 100 Euros ! Will go back.........

Had lunch with my two children (10, 8). Ordered a seafood paleia which we didn't find on the menu. It was very good. It took some time to make which the waiter apologized for. We asked for some potato wedges meanwhile and they came (and we were not charged for them).
The place was very pleasant and the service was attentive all through.

We had a table for six in the evening and had a wide range of tapas dishes which were all fresh and well prepared. We were a mixed group both in age and nationality, being British and Catalan families with differing tastes which were expertly provided for. There is a friendly bohemian atmosphere, the wine was inexpensive and good. We will certainly try and eat there again the next time we visit Barcelona. Remember to book well ahead as it is popular and not a large restaurant.
