Neighborhood: El Raval
Description: Close to Rambla del Raval, Barcelona, the Ofis restaurant presents itself as a place of creative Mediterranean cuisine, with international influences, where you can buy furniture and objects, while giving a tribute to your palate. Many and different are the elaborations that are born in the kitchen of the restaurant Ofis. Mushroom stew with oyster sauce and Chinese beef, Rissotto with goat cheese, lemon and olivada, Mini croissant stuffed with pork and smoked sauce, Vitel tone and Veal roast with tartar sauce are some of them. Finally, the green Matcha Tiramisu and the Pineapple roasted with Italian meringue and coconut will conquer you. The menu of the day is highly elaborated, which makes it an opportunity if you live or work in this multicultural Barcelona neighborhood.

This place truly gives you value for your time and money.

The service is excellent: very polite, genuine love for their job and willing to elaborate on every dish. They work hard but do not seem rushed at all. Happy delivery really adds to the flavor.

The food is excellent: they use high quality local products and add a special twist to each dish. Not the type of food you would get in your run off the mill tapas bar in BCN. I especially adored the Tupi cheesecake, with a very strong (even kind of spicy) taste. (I admit I went back for a 2nd time to have this cheesecake again. Gotta love the Tupi!)

If we ever go back to BCN this place is at the top of our list. I expect that they will have pushed their potential even more.

Thanks a lot guys!

My exact description probably wouldn't be published... it was amazing... nice sized tapas for sharing - well presented and incredible fusion of flavors. We tried the sweet potato gratin, lemon risotto, chicken waffles and for dessert the cheesecake as well as the pear crumble... all fabulous. Service was excellent... Charlie in particular was helpful, friendly and attentive... would definitely recommend OFIS for lunch or dinner...

This atmospheric little tapas bar was tucked away round the corner from our hotel. I found it on TripAdvisor, where it got amazing reviews. It did not disappoint! The menu is displayed outside on an old fashioned typewriter, which gives a clue to the quirky interior. A mish-mash of wood types in the decor and furniture give it a relaxed vibe. The waiting staff were helpful and welcoming, advising on the menu. The squid in Jaigermaister with mashed potatoes were beautiful, and the chorizo sausage with mozzarella in filo pastry was to die for! The 'Terrible' wine was anything but. For the brave diner, bone marrow (served in the bone!) and sweetbread are menu staples.
