We fell upon this tiny restaurant in Gracia thanks to favourable reviews on Google maps. It looks totally unprepossessing from the street, but once through the door we were welcomed as old friends by the amazing lady owner, who sat us at the bar, instantly provided water and (free) bread and olives, and later took the time to talk us through the Catalan menu. I ordered a pork dish, and she warned me that it was very fatty, in the Catalan style. When it arrived, it was way too fatty for my liking, and when the owner saw my reaction, it was whisked away and replaced, free of charge, with another dish. The quality of the food was amazing, and the welcome and service from the (slightly bonkers) owner was fantastic. If only it were closer to the centre of Barcelona (and easier to find!) we would have gone back in a heartbeat.
