“Welcoming”
Reviewed August 1, 2013 via mobile

From the welcome glass of cava, massive starter salads (beware, when they suggested we share we took that to be a suggestion, it should have been an order, the sheer size of the salads made finishing the main impossible). The four cheese flambé at the table was culinary theatre and the result really tasty, the pizza was one of the best. No dessert, we could not even finish the main. Good rosé wine. Very friendly staff who know the menu and are happy to recommend.and a very smart building.

“Almost the best and a surprise to find in Barcelona”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Our final evening meal in Barcelona. Great service and exceptional food and most important fresh and tasty. Prices of both food & wine very good for an inner City Restaurant.
My wife ordered a whole fish for main and had a few to choose from and when cooked it was served and boned at the table. Now find a another waiter that can do that in Barcelona and not leave any bones in the meal.Saw others eating pizza and offered a pizza box to take home the remainder of there meal.

“Try Italian, even in Barcelona!”
Reviewed July 23, 2013 via mobile

It could seem to be a big mistake to go for an Italian restaurant on the first night in Barcelona, but we had a great experience.
We were served Cava and bruchetta as appetizers (free) and the kids were kindly encouraged by Stefano, our waiter, to have a taste as well. For them (11 and 14 years) that was a good part of the experience.
The extensive menucard was not in English, but everything was well introduced. Stefano was entusiatic about explaining the courses and the special Italian ingredients was followed by good stories from"back home in Napoli", so after his introduction we really felt like tasting everything.

We shared another selection of bruchettas, had pizza prochuitto, pasta with salmon, "todays fish" and another pasta course. All was well composed with fresh ingredients and a good balance of spices. Very tasty!

We enjoyed Stefano's kind service, with a little fun with the kids and a balanced attention to our table. The atmosphere was nice and cosy with a feeling of both the original old spanish building and modern decorations.

“Beautiful place, great atmosphere and the food is yummi”
Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

I have been in Giorgios twice already this month, my friend took me there for lunch. The establishment looks very posh and for a moment I was scared to look in the menu, but I must say thay it is not bad at all. Both times I went for lunch and I tried both menus, pizza (contains salad of the day, pizza, drink and a dessert or coffee; various choices) and special of the day (starter, main course, dessert and drink; various choices as well). The portions are big, pizza is huge and cannot be shared. I recommend the bruschetta which was to die for!
The staff is organized, attentive and friendly. My sister is a vegetarian so she asked just for a simple salad to start with. One of the waiters brought her a plate full of lettuce which looked rather poor, but within few moments the waiter who took the order appeared, apologized for the salad and brought her one that was a pleasure both for mouth and eyes. I definitely recommend this place when you start to be sick of paella and other traditional meals :)
