What an enjoyable meal, there was no need to move away from the fixed menu which at 22 Euros was great value for money. The menu gave plenty of choice especially for fish lovers. staff attentive with cooking and presentation of the highest quality. The formula of including wine and water in the price also works. Would most certainly go back.

I visit barcelona for business several times during the year and found this place while looking for a good place to have dinner with my colleagues.
Must say that we were all surprised by the high quality of the food and the generous quantity of ingredients. We tried the group menu and it was just massive!
Later on I have visited the place on my own and with my girlfriend.
Detail: When you enter the place you can see the chef (cristian)cooking in the grill (and have a sneek peek at the dishes).
Service is great and friendly. Not to mention that the menus are translated to English.
Its a place I recommend if you are around in barcelona.
Just to summarize: you can enjoy local food at a local's price but with a more sophisticated ambient and presentation.

We ate here twice as it's not a long walk from the hotel Alma. Both times we had excellent service, entire staff was very friendly. Our food was excellent on both visits. The fixed price menu was very good and the prices were very reasonable. Not tons of atmosphere but it's just a nice family sort of restaurant. I would certainly recommend it if you are in the area. Not so amazing that you would go across town .. but if you are staying at the Alma it's an easy walk. (and I DO recommend staying at the Alma!)

3rd visit to 336 over the La Merce September week-end having eaten there a couple of times during a summer holiday.

Simply cannot recommend this delightful restaurant highly enough.

They have increased the set menu by 2 euros a head since August but it is truly AMAZING value at 22 euros each.

Ate with my wife and daughter who were both VERY impressed; we all ate off the set menu and there are plenty of choices for starters and mains. Dessert tends to be one sorbet or a Spanish style cake/pudding

It was the Saturday evening of a busy week-end and the restauarant was full with a mix of locals and tourist making a good atmosphere.

The staff realised we had been waiting a little while for our Spanish bread and starters - they simply came over and offered us each another glass of cava each without us even asking.....complimentary !

The owner and chef (Christian) does try to come out and speak with each table to see if they are enjoying their meal which is also a nice touch and not seen that often nowadays.

Would suggest you reserve a table particularly if you are looking for a table on a Friday or Saturday evening.

I expect we will dine in 336 every time we visit Barcelona !
