We stumbled across this little bar down a side alley in the Born area. We enjoyed it so much we went back the following night as they had live music advertised. Great atmosphere, friendly bar staff & good food. They made the sangria from scratch at the table. Tried a number of tapas & the food was really tasty & when we said we liked spicy, they spiced it up even more. The female guitarist sang some good spanish music & the crowd really got into it. Loved it!

A nice casual atmosphere, the tapas has a little bit of a different spin to it, the wine selection was nice and the service was friendly. Ziryab is a good place to stop in for a quick bite and drink.

Stumbled upon this as we were venturing back to our hotel from Old City. Quickly had babaganoush before kitchen closed. Very different, but very tasty. Tried two wines, one from Spain and on Arab wine. Both were good.

We found this place through TA. Spent ages trying to find it. Eventually got in and we were shoe-horned into the upstairs area - quite literally knocking elbows with other tables. Ordered a drink and asked waitress to come back for the food order. 15mins later we still hadn't received our drink but waitress returned to take the rest of the order. 15mins later drinks still hadn't arrived and no explanation had been given. So we left. Staff weren't bothered and expressed puzzlement that this wasn't acceptable, despite other tables receiving drinks before us who arrived after us. This place wasn't even at capacity and they couldn't cope. In our view they prioritised larger parties/receipts. Awful.

Hi there George,
Thanks for leaving us some feedback, it's really appreciated. We had some bilateral messages with you which was really useful, and also I sat down with the team and tried to figure out what happened and why. From what I gather it was a strange night where the whole place filled up before 8pm and the second waitress on shift had not arrived yet, so the staff couldn't get to everyone quickly enough. They said you seemed like a really lovely couple and they felt terrible. It happens sometimes and all I can say is it's an exception and really bad luck, I would have loved it for you to try our food and enjoy the atmosphere. You're right it's a small bar but that's also what gives it its charm - knocking elbows within the right vibe and atmosphere can be fun sometimes and is very Barcelona!
In any case you are totally right in expecting and deserving more and we will continue working to avoid such situations.
We really look forward to hosting you on your next visit and will make sure you get a drink or two on the house (as well as a couple of pairs of elbow pads...) :)
