Description: Note that the restaurant is now located at Carrer dels Ases (see other listing). The bar is at Carrer de Grunyi and is a wonderful cocktail and Shisha Bar, where you can try some delicious cocktails - both classics and our own special blends... And lay back and enjoy the relaxation. There are some small snacks such as olives, cheese bites, flavoured dips with pitta or quality cheese and ham platters. You can try a fruit-flavoured water pipe, the hubby bubbly or Shisha - with the available flavours of apple, mint, grape, banana, melon, strawberry... And lots more flavours. You can also try it with a shot of anis in the water or slices of lemon to make it more refreshing, and countless other options and combinations to make yours a fun experience. Ziryab is a great place to go before going out to dinner, or perhaps after your meal! It's open late, has great music and a great vibe, is perfect for couples on a romantic date or for groups, and don't forget to check out the sister restaurant, Ziryab Tapas and Wines on Carrer dels Ases No 16, just a 4 minute walk away!

“Worth the stars!”

Such a little gem place for tapas and plenty of wines! It is a beautiful, calm place where you can relax and enjoy very nice food and brilliant service. I had bacon wrapped on date, cured ham wrapped on haloumi cheese, small baked potatoes with ziyrab special spiced sauce. The food is fresh, beautifully presented and a succulent taste with every mouthful! Accompanied by a wonderful glass of wine. If you're a big fan of red wine, like me - I'd recommend you to try Lebanese wine, Heritage Touma red and of course, a cheeky Gin and Tonic (they add a secret ingredient to bring the best out of gin!) - such a perfect way of ending the night! Ziryab, I'll be back!

“Wow! The best!”
Reviewed May 6, 2013 via mobile

Found this place on Trip Advisor. It was close to our hotel so we decided to go. It is tucked away on a tiny side street so we had to look for it. It was fantastic in every way. The wine is great, the food outstanding...especially the carmelized leek and goat cheese with bacon dip served with pita! To die for!
We also had the hanging chicken kebab with pita..OMG. Great! The best part, however were the people. When we returned they not only recognized us but treated us like rock stars. It is a tiny place. We went early to get a seat...it gets crowded. We ate there several times during our stay ......that is how good and welcoming it is! Don't miss this one !

...served with pita

“Warm and relaxed atmosphere - true fusion tasting”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

This small place is quite hard to find, but worth trying. Atmosphere and service are very warm and relaxed. For our late dinner we ordered small tapas dishes and dips. This fusion tapas was interesting indeed and tasted great, but the dips were nothing special. Perhaps our choices were just too modest. Our dessert, strawberries in dark and white chocolate, on the other hand was just delicious.
If you want something a bit different than tapas, this quite unique place might be for you.

“Different and GREAT!!”
Reviewed April 30, 2013 via mobile

It's such a difficult place to be when you're rated highly on TripAdvisor - everyone has sky high expectations or want to knock you down. Food and wine are SOOOOOO subjective - come on folks - NOTHING is ever PERFECT! So....to this place - the service is sublime - which starts the evening in a great mood - when in such a city you can be just another tourist, HERE YOU ARE TREATED LIKE A LOCAL! The food is good, slightly different to every other tapas bar and the wine is also varied to different palates. The price is fair and the atmosphere is great....what more can I say except we LOVED it!

“Great staff and good wine, shame about the food.”
Reviewed April 25, 2013 via mobile

We called in last night as a result of the great reviews here on trip advisor. The staff were very nice and so was the wine. We tried one of their 5.5euro tapas and were very disappointed. Very small and nothing special, certainly not worth the price in our view. Two ladies on the next table had the cheese taster platter at 14euros, looked very poor value and the customers looked as disappointed as we were.
