We did the evening class and were greeted with a glass of beautiful red wine an friendly faces. All the dishes were beautiful and we were so involved in the actual cooking of them all. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it! The chef was a Spanien and created such a fun relaxing atmosphere! Enjoyed it thoroughly

My boyfriend and I decided to attend this cooking class because we wanted to do something different aside from the regular ol' (albeit beautiful) sightseeing Barcelona has to offer. This class is definitely a MUST for your trip.

They offer 2 classes- a morning class and an evening class. I'd definitely say go for the morning class. It starts at 10 am and before you actually start cooking, you travel as a group, along with the instructor, to Boqueria market (right down the street) to shop for the food you will be using to cook. The evening class doesn't include the trip to Boqueria market.

Our instructor (and owner of the establishment), Candido, was completely and utterly informative, interactive, and friendly. He gave us helpful tips throughout the class such as how to tell if tuna is fresh or not.

The menu changes depending on what's seasonal. When we were there in mid August, we made a melon gazpacho garnished with iberico ham, a spanish omelet with a side of tomato bread, seafood paella, and creme catalana for dessert.

- The morning class went over the 2 pm end time listed on their website, so plan your day accordingly.

- Don't wear anything to the class that you don't want to have a lingering smell. The tasty food leaves your clothes and bags smelling for days. But it was totally worth it!

My girlfriend and I did this class and had Lluis as our teacher.
He was absolutely excellent. Very passionate and skilled and loves to teach.
He took us through a 4 course Spanish/Catalan style meal and we all (about 10 in the class) sat and ate it together at the end with wine to match.
Expensive but most definitely worth every euro!

No words can describe the fantastic time spent at the Barcelona Cooking Class on August 13th. Our cooking instructors were totally engaging and informative. Our cooking mates were from all around the globe-England, Australia, Canada, States and Korea. The wine and food were exquisite. I would give my highest recommendation.
