To travel up to Tibidabo is fascinating. Firts Traumvia blue and then the Funicular up to the top. The church is very beautiful and you can take a walk up to the roof and have that ravishing wiev. There´s also a little chapel on the top.

It took part of a day to take the train and metro to the Temple but it was worth the view that it provided. Really amazing experience.

We went expecting to see some nice views but ended up with the most spiritual experience of our lifetimes! If you can somehow try to ignore the horrible amusement park you can truly gasp one of the most impressive places on earth!

I think I honestly enjoyed this temple more than the Monserrat monastery. *gasp* Yes, it is true. It is equally high up, providing for incredible 360 views of Barcelona and the surrounding hillside. There is a small amusement park which was bustling with activity when I went on a Sunday.

There are three different levels you can visit in the temple. First is the terrace level, but you can also take the elevator to the second level, which brings you just a bit higher. From there you can take the narrow staircase to the third level, where you will clearly see the saints and incredible countryside/cityscape. From that level you can take another staircase to the very feet of the statue of Christ.

It can be windy up here, so pack a scarf or something to protect you. Bring a camera and a smile - you will be bound to enjoy this spot.

I also recommend walking down from the Funicular instead of taking the tram back - a lovely downhill walk.

3  Thank Yuliya R
