“Central quiet hotel, perfect for a first visit”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

This is perfectly located near (but not too near)Placa Catalunya, easy walk to the Eixample, Barri Gothic, Las Ramblas and El Born. Our interior room was really quiet and very dark at night, making it easier to sleep with jet lag. We didn't do the breakfast option but the bar and servers there were nice.

Really excellent choice for a few nights stay to enjoy Barcelona. Very clean, modern hotel, helpful, polite staff, hotel well run and organized. Good sized rooms and bathrooms, we had an inside room, no view but very quiet. Breakfast had great choices.... which would please everyone. Lovely swimming pool and sun-bed area on the roof which we did not have time to use but would have liked to. Bar available, but most people head out to Las Ramblas, which is just 2 blocks away as is Placa Catalunya where one gets the "hop-on/off" buses. Highly recommended for value, cleanliness and location.

Room Tip: Personally if you are going to spend most of your time sightseeing and want a quiet room without tra...

GREAT LOCATION. 5 of us traveling with 5 rooms - all very nice. Weather was great so having beers and vino at the expansive rooftop was awesome. This is a great 3-4 star place with very reasonable rates. Transportation is at your doorstep via cab, bus or subway.

Good location. Comfortable walking distance to many sights. Clean, spacious room and good size bathroom, well maintained hotel and efficient staff - special thanks to Daniel for his advice and help. Very quiet spot with many restaurants/bars within 5 mins walk to the right and left of the main road. Recommend this hotel and would definitely use it again.

Our family of 4 spent 3 nights here and enjoyed its central location and very friendly staff. Very close to the main square of Placa Catalunya, so easy to get the Hop On-Hop Off tour bus, and super close to the metro and taxis. There was some road noise during the night, but not bad, and I tend to be a light sleeper. Rooms and bed are spacious and comfy enough. The staff is very friendly - kind enough to print boarding passes and call Ticketmaster to inquire about a purchase.

The multistoried hotel is well located with a short walk to the Ramblas and the Cathedral and a slightly longer one to make it down to the waterfront and attractions like the Aquarium. For the Familia Sagrada (get your tickets over the internet), the subway needs to be used unless you like to walk. The hotel is a 7 or so euro cab fare from the train station. The reception area is clean but sterile in personality. There is what appeared to be a security person on duty at all times though the area appeared fine. There is a mobility impaired walkway as well as stairs. At first there appears to be a small library off to the side but it is actually wallpaper. The checkin process was quick and the staff courteous. The staff provided maps and directions for visiting various areas. They did provide some things which we needed; we asked for a needle and thread at the desk as well as a 110/220 plug converter. There is a bar/restaurant which I did not use. Our room on the fifth floor was well maintained and continue to be so during our trip. The checkout was smooth.

This is a good hotel for a tourist. Price/quality ratio is the right and the location is perfect. Service is friendly and the pool on the roof is adding value if the weather is warm. Room and bathroom is of good standard and even if you have a room facing backyard, the view is “acceptable” as there are some plants. Breakfast is average but what surprised me was that when people burned their bred in the toaster so that the whole restaurant was in a blue smoke no fire alarm was heard. What if it had been real smoke from a fire?
