“First Gaudi stop, but make sure it's a nice day!”
Reviewed December 6, 2012

This was our first Gaudi stop and was a great experience of his early work. €10 includes an audio self-guided tour, but make sure it's not a rainy day because they'll close off the roof where the best part is. We went anyways since the weather was not great the whole time we were there. The entrance is small and can be missed. Just head to the right after the ticket booth to one of the partitioned lines.

“palau guell”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Located a short walk off La Rambas , this Gaudi designed house was very interesting. It is different from other Gaudi works. The audio tour was very well done. The view from the roof was fantastic. It was recently reopened after refurbishing and is well worth visiting.

“Early Gaudi”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

Reopened after an extensive restoration, the home of Gaudi's most important client, Eusebi Güell, is instructive in understanding the development of Gaudi's style. His use of wood and wrought iron in this home was a new discovery for me, and his use of the parabolic arches at the entrance to allow carriages to come and go without exposing their passengers to the weather is prescient. Gaudi designed this home to cater to the family's every convenience, allowing them to view what is happening in the public areas from floors away, saving them many steps. His fanciful chimneys are a delight and so colorful atop the home.

“Great Early Gaudi!”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

The audioguide tour of this beautifully-restored private home took us from the basement stables to the very top with lots of information provided. Simply gorgeous and fascinating mix of Gothic and early Modernista. A new must-see for your Barcelona trip if you are a Gaudi fan as I am.
