The hotel is very basic: beds and the overall furniture are old, bathroom not very clean (I found some hair in the towels), but the location is good (2 minutes walk to the metro station Parallel) and the staff very nice.
- Free Wifi
The reception staff isn't always available as I left and came back shortly, the front doors were locked till the person returned, about ten minutes. The room was very basic, with bed coils creaking from movement on the bed. Toiletries provided in plastic packets, not bottle for the shampoo.
The room was rather warm, air conditioning was anemic, we opened the window to stay cool, which disables the power to the air conditioning, wouldn't wish to be here during their hot weather. Coming in February when it's cool was good, just use layer clothing to stay warm, gloves, rain gear.
The shower is a tub less rectangle with the shower head attached on the shorter dimension instead of the longer length made taking a shower a challenge as I frequently would inadvertently shut off the water or change the temperature setting on the water shower control handle. The shower curtain would be pushed over the floor would also get wet and slippery, partly avoidable if the shower head was oriented on the longer axis length allowing more distance from the shower control of unintentionally shutting it off but still may not avoid wetting the floor due to the design and space constraints, in need of hiring an architect for better space utilization design.
Breakfast wasn't included, €1 for coffee, €5 for breakfast available from the lobby in the morning. Go for their coffee if you wish, skip their breakfast, there is a nice place for a wider variety of, and a better breakfast one block away toward the metro with outdoor seating for just a little bit more, metro two blocks away from the hotel.
The wifi connection from our room on the fourth floor was lacking, unable to connect from a very weak signal, lobby has a strong signal. Nice neighborhood walking around with shops, restaurants in the immediate area.
the hotel is good value, convenient location with services nearby. beds were a little hard and creeky. staff were alright - helpful when asked and the rooms are clean. it has an odd little lift that will take one person plus luggage.
Average, economically priced hotel. Has a metro stop near by whcih is two stops away from the main square Plaza Catalunya/Aerobus stop. Aerobus is the most convenient way to and from the airport.
Wifi was good. Helpful reception. Bathroom Ok.
Not the most happening place in town though.
The beds were not comfy.
Heating was also not great.
Location Great. Just a few mins from the metro. Around 20 mins walk to La Rambla.
Reception staff did there job "reception" thats all i can say about them.
Rooms are clean and a little worn, could do with some TLC. AC worked well and bathroom was good and clean. Lots of hot water. A good 1 star Hotel. Would i stay again? Yes.
This hotel is located around 3-5 mins from a metro station (Paral.lel), which connects to Barcelona's main attractions. Excellent location! around 30mins walking distance from La Rambla (5mins by metro from here). Staff was very helpful and available at reception 24/7. Room was clean (cleaned every morning), good sized, had large windows overlooking street, and A/C. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again - good value for money!!
