“Fantastic trip and accommodation”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We went to Barcelona to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and we were not disappointed......the hotel was fantastic along with the wonderful sights of the city. After a stress free transfer from the airport by bus to the city centre and then an easy metro ride, we arrived at the hotel. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who advised as we were early our double room wasn't ready but were able to leave our bags there and went off to explore. Although the surrounding area was quite run down it didn't take more than 10 minutes to get to the marina and beach, which was beautiful. Back to the hotel, we were given a room on the fourth floor. Wow...room was great, massive comfy bed, powerful shower and plenty of space. Only downside would be the view out of the window......overlooking a run down factory. But just kept the curtain pulled!! Breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from and all very yummy! Hotel situated outside of city centre and although a fair walk into La Rambla/Port Vell other transport available. The tour bus is brilliant, hop on hop off whenever you want and a great way of seeing the city. We had a two day ticket @ 34euros each, although a little more expensive than using the metro, worth it for the scenery and sights. So overall an amazing trip which we both enjoyed. Most definately recommend the hotel and the city of Barcelona.

Spent week in hotel during October, prompt service at reception although should point out that the only people offered champagne on check in are those in the 'Priviledge rooms'. Was disappointed that access to the spa, even for just using pool and sauna is 16 Euros per person, seems rather excessive. Room clean and spacious, had problem with the shower but it was repaired promptly by engineer.
Housekeeping is slow to clean the rooms most days it was after 2 each afternoon.
As everyone has said the breakfast is good and worth paying for with all tastes catered for, including gluton free.
Only downside for me was the service at the bar, one waiter in particular was very brusque. Also at the Spa was asked to wear a silken cap whilst in the spa, however as soon as entered the water the cap came off and male assistant was quite rude when asking why I was not wearing it. Funny though, he did not question the two men, who made no attempt to wear their caps!
I enjoyed the roof top pool yes it is a small area but there were occasions during the week when I was the only person up there so was perfect to relax and read. Although despite the decent weather of late the pool was freezing.
Agreed the hotel is a ten minute walk from Marina but only about 5 minute walk from Bogatell Metro which is only a few stops into the centre.

First of all, we would like to apologize for any possible inconveniences we might caused you.

Regarding the housekeeping, we inform that they are cleaning all 235 rooms from 09h00 until 17h00. Nevertheless in case guests would like to receive this service urgently they could ask directly to reception or leaving out to the knob of the door the properly information for this service.

We will appreciate if you could give us a second chance in another occasion.

We, a group of 13, spent 3 nights here. The hotel was everything we expected and more. Of course, nitpickers always find flaws but in our case these were mere details. Some of the rooms of our party were just stunning. The beds were excellent, the bathrooms more than up to standard. There was some ambient noise coming in at night as there is no double glazing. And at times, you can hear what the people next door are doing... Being a light sleeper, I always take ear plugs with me, so no problem there. Breakfast was delicious and copious, and we were seated at one giant table upon simple request, even though the hotel was very busy. I myself didn't use the wellness section (too much to see, too little time) but the people of our party that did (just sauna, no massages) said it was okay. The staff at the front desk went out of their way to solve any problem and provide any information. We were all extremely pleased.
The hotel is only a 5 min walk from Parc de la Ciutadella, a 10 min walk from the beach (went jogging there every morning, just heaven!) and a 15 min walk from the edge of the Barrio Gotic. We even walked to the Sagrada Familia, enjoying Spring time weather on 1 November. Subway stations closeby, 5 min walk. Not the nicest of areas (but there is a plaza with trees and benches in front of the hotel)
Do I recommend this hotel? Yes.

I was instantly impressed by a glass of bubbly on arrival, then seeing the room with the massive bed, everything was perfect. Most important to me when staying at a hotel is how comfortable the bed is, and this hotel had got it right. Lovely crisp clean white cotton sheets etc.
Breakfast was very good and had something for everyone's palette, a great choice of hot & cold food.
The only slight downside is the distance from the centre, which is a good 20 mins walk.. Which is ok during daylight hours but not so walking back at night after a couple of drinks.. A cab is the best option.

The hotel was lovely, nice room, huge bed, great food. Roof top pool was a let down though, very small area (not as good as the photos); and the walls in the hotel were very thin, could hear next rooms toilet flush.
The area felt a little run down, Barcelona definitely has a major graffiti problem.
Hotel location was 10 minutes walk from the beach and was a lot quieter than the inner city; a good location for a beach holiday or if you hire a car. However, the hotel is quite a distance from the main area's, at least 30 minutes walk to Port Vell; 45-60 mins to La Rambla. Passed by some other H10 hotel's in the inner city, some were located on main busy traffic streets.
If you have little time, don't want to walk endlessly and don't mind hussel and bussel noise, stay inner city; if you like the quiet, beaches and are prepared to walk/travel a lot then this hotel may be better.

Room Tip: Rooms on first floor and to front of hotel are above lobby and main entrance, so quite noisy when pe...

I researched a lot of hotels in Barcelona and finally settled on this one and we were very happy with our choice!
Initially we had wanted to stay right in the thick of it and ideally on the Ramblas strip, but then decided to save a few pennies and go a little further out and really pleased we did.
On arrival we were seen to very quickly by the reception staff and poured a complimentary glass of bubbly. The reception staff were very polite and helpful.
We stayed in room 216...it was a very decent size, really clean, nicely decorated and had a nice modern bathroom.
Slept very well each of the 4 nights we were there, no noise from neighbouring rooms could be heard. Beds very comfortable.
Location is about a 10 minute walk to the Marina and beach front. There are a number of restaurants and bars here. And you can pick up the open top bus tour from here too.
It took us about 30 minutes to walk to the main Ramblas strip but was a nice walk along the beach front and harbours. A taxi was about 10 euros.
We were fortunate to have lovely weather during our stay and spent a few hours on the roof top by the pool... this was very peaceful but not a massive space (most ppl don't go to Barcelona to sunbathe tho!)
The pool was a decent size in a nice setting.
On the ground floor there are some indoor pools and saunas etc... unfortunately we didn't get time to use these but did manage to pop our heads in the door and it looked lovely!
Only negative was that we couldn't find tea/coffee making facilities in our room although im sure had we asked we would have been brought some (We asked for an iron and bourd which we were given for the entire stay). Only 2 or 3 english channels on the TV, again, didn't really matter as were not there to watch TV! My final half negative point is that the bath didn't have a full length shower screen and it only went a little way along the bath which meant you couldn't take advantage of the really powerful shower as water would end up spraying all over the floor! Easily fixed by turning pressure down but maybe the hotel could consider this comment?
Cant comment on the food as were room only but restaurant looked very nice.
All in all a great hotel and wouldn't hesitate in staying there again!
Very very pleased and had a wonderful experience in Barcelona!
