“NO TEA & COFFEE IN THE ROOM”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

We booked a double room but we could'nt see any tea & coffee in our room. Was a pity!! We asked for it and we could enjoy a water heater in our room. Good service and good job!! Staff is very helpul. Breakfast is excellent: you can choose many products as sald, tuna, olives, pastries, bread, fruit...

Stayed for 5 night end of October 2012. As usually returned to hotel only for night sleep was quite satisfied with services I esperienced. Room and bathroom is good for space, cleanliness. Maybe taller people will appreciate bigger beds, but was quite O.K.
Breakfast - excellent!
For this visit hotel location was good - meaning close to metro. In case of leisure stay I'd prefer more central location or closer to seaside.

Room Tip: Upper floors may give a nice view (depends on side of building).

My partner and I stayed at the H10 in Barcelona from the 3rd Sept. to the 10th September. I had booked a Privilege Room and we were not disappointed. The room was very spacious with one wall from floor to ceiling being all glass. The beds were very comfortable if a little on the firm side. Big flat screen t.v. with good selection of English speaking channels. Coffee machine and of course a complimentary mini bar which was replenished every day. Good selection of spirits, wine, soft drinks and champagne. There was also crisps, toblerone and fruit. The bathroom was spacious and very modern. Twin basins, power shower and a spa bath. Bathrobes and slippers. Nice fluffy towels.
Breakfast was the usual buffet but the coffee from a self service machine was the best I've ever had in any hotel abroad. Good and varied selection of both cold and hot food. Staff were very kind and helpful. My only complaint was the dining room downstairs could do with a bit of a facelift. We were going to eat there on two evenings but decided not to as on both nights it seemed to be empty. Instead, the waterfront and beach is only a ten minute walk with numerous and varied restaurants to choose from.
There is a rooftop pool but unless you're up there by 10a.m. you won't get a bed. To be honest, it could do with a good overhaul. The sunbeds were a bit shabby and on the two occasions we were up there we landed up on broken beds both times. Maybe they're all broken. They could certainly do with a paint and new mattresses are definately required. We didn't venture up there at night but I believe one can have a drink at the bar, albeit tiny.
Because I booked a Privilege room we had a key to the Privilege Lounge round from Reception. It opens about 8 in the morning until 11 at night. Flat screen t.v. but no remote so we couldn't change any channel. Only Spanish channels for the whole week. From the time we arrived until the day we departed not another person did we see in that Lounge which meant we had it all to ourselves for the week. A lovely selection of Tapas is available along with crisps, fruit and candy and of course all drinks are complimentary. Well, not really, because you pay for it in the cost of your room. Was it worth it? Absolutely!! Would I return? Absolutely!!

I attended a business group with more than 80 participants, arriving a Thursday afternoon after a travel that started around 4 am. The group had ordered some 36 double rooms and 14 single rooms out of the 210 rooms availlable. We had a lovely night out at a local tapas restaurant, and were all in good spirit arriving back at the hotel. The hotel management adressed us right away, complaining about noice in the corridors. An extra security hand was called in to handle all the 'noice'. If the hotel offers a bar, one must expect some levelled talking. The next day the management expressed concern about complaints, and wanted our group to know. This however, did not spoil a fantastic trip to Montserrat. Upon arriving back at the hotel we were informed that 3 persons of our group were evicted from the hotel due to numerous complaints from other guests. No one from our group had filed any complaints, despite high noice from any movement around the hotel, despite ants in the rooms and despite poor service all over. A useless meeting was called between management from the hotel, from the business management and our hired guides. A tree pages long list was presented consisting of numerous complaints produced from google translated Spanish. No warning of misconduct was ever presented, and no room for negotiation was accepted, Luckily the CEO of the company I was travelling with, was generous enough to accept the situation, mainly just because the evicted persons got a much better hotel as a replacement. The H10 Marina Barcelona Hotel did not accept to refund the allready paid accomodation for the evicted guests. No excuse or explanation was given for the eviction, due to proffesional secrecy, according hotell management. My belief is that a recent hired reception manager could not handle the situation, and blamed my group for all incovenience. The hotel management showed catastrophic lack of discression and changeability in a situation that easily would have been solved by civilized conversation. I must strongly advice any traveller to Barcelona to stay well away from this misserable place.

In our hotel H10 Marina Barcelona we welcome everybody as long as they respect all other guests.
During your stay we had a lot of complains of some other hotel guests so that a private security company was hired due your behavior. This unacceptable behavior affected the way the hotel works and guest´s stay.

you have all you expect from a 4 star hotel, even a phone in the bathroom ! but... there is always a but ! in your room, you can hear every sound around you : the people who speak in the rooms next to yours or in the corridor, the people who walk in the room above yours ! it driver me crazy every morning, i couldn't sleep between 7 and 9 and as awake until midnight because of the noise.

We had tickets for the theatre, so we decided to sleep at barcelona city. We chose the hotel due to its ammenities nluded in the package of the suite with full access to minibar, indoor pool, spa, etc. Very quiet area.
However, room was very hot, and air conditioned was not able to decrease temp. Our room was facing to the coast.
Metro is more or less near, and you can easily reach the beach wlking from the hotel.
I would recommend for short visits, if you want to combine city and relax in the same building.

I was sure that I had booked this hotel package as I saw it advertised as a 5 star hotel- is a perfectly adequete 4 star. I had to change from the first room which was on the first floor as it was just above a taxi rank and the revellers kept me awake half the night. I was fuming as it is only single glazing and one can hear everything going on outside. Reception were helpful and the room change was swift. On the 7th floor with a better room and good views of the city. No kettles in rooms which is disappointing. Comfy beds. Very clean. Bit dated but perfectly adequete. Close to a clean and lovely beach. This time of year it was bright sun shine, cutting and bracing winds with a few light showers. Good breakfast. Nice little outdoor pool on roof terrrace- didn't go in. Does have a spa- didn't use. Staff were fine. Only 2 english tv channels.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room possibly on the higher floors. Ask if the heating is working in the room.
